Tideford Organics expands plant-only range with new Katsu soup

Organic soup brand Tideford Organics is saying “konnichiwa” to its newest souperstar, having added another global flavour discovery to its plant-only range. The new soup helps consumers get three of their five-a-day in every pot while bringing even more ‘mwah’ to the table.

Launched on shelves from 16th September 2026, lunchtime is about to get a whole lot more joyful as Tideford Organics’ latest plant-only soup, Katsu Butternut & Sweet Potato Soup, joins existing favourites Lentil & Spinach Dhal and Mexican Style Corn & Red Pepper.

The vibrant new addition brings together the natural richness of creamy butternut squash and sweet potato with the aromatic, gently spiced flavours of Katsu, creating a souper twist on a popular flavour profile – to bring a deliciously different take on a lunchtime soup bowl.

“Lunch should be something to look forward to, not just another box to tick on a busy day,” says Susann Tandy, marketing manager at Tideford Organics.

“At Tideford, we’re all about bringing a little more joy to the table. For over 25 years we’ve taken culinary inspiration from around the world and Katsu brings another deliciously different, global flavour discovery to the range, offering consumers a fresh take on lunchtime soup – whether at home or on the go.” Susann adds.

The new Japanese style Butternut & Sweet Potato Soup is available nationally at Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, as well as through Ocado, selected Morrisons stores in the Southwest, and a small number of Whole Foods and online at Abel & Cole. The 560ml pot has an RRP of £3.50.

To support the launch, Tideford Organics will be running promotional activity throughout October and November, including a series of pop-up sampling events in Birmingham, London and Manchester.

The pop-ups will be serving warming samples, giving consumers the chance to try the new soup and discover the latest addition to the Tideford range.

Sampling will take place in:
Manchester – Spinningfields, 2nd November
Birmingham – Brindley Place, 3rd November
London – One New Change, 5th November
