Busy Londoners can still find time for love in their life this Valentine’s Day, as Uber Direct and Inovretail team up to supply free rapid delivery of flowers across the capital.

Uber Direct, Uber’s white-label delivery solution, and Inovretail’s Seeplus order fulfilment platform, will be working with 18 London florists to provide 1,000 free same-day flower deliveries to customers between February 13 and February 14.

The offering is designed to support florists to meet growing demand for rapid flower deliveries during their busiest days of the year. Florists working with Inovretail report that they typically fulfil four-to-five times more deliveries on February 14th than any other day in the calendar.

Customers ordering online will be able to choose same-day delivery at checkout and specify the time they want their order to arrive at its destination. There will be no delivery fee added to the total cost and all deliveries will be fulfilled by Uber’s best-in-class courier network. Customers can also check that their gift has arrived safely in their loved one’s hands by tracking deliveries in real-time.

Caroline Varga, regional manager, Uber Direct EMEA, said: “City life moves fast, but romance shouldn’t be left behind. With over three-quarters of consumers now seeking out rapid delivery for their flower orders, local retailers need a logistics engine that can keep up. Leveraging Uber Direct’s best-in-class delivery infrastructure, we are delighted to be partnering with Inovretail and 18 London florists to turn that demand into reality – supporting the art of the romantic gesture by providing free, same-day delivery to 1,000 Londoners this Valentine’s Day.”

Pablo Momparler, country manager at Inovretail’s order fulfilment platform Seeplus, said: “Valentine’s Day is one of the toughest weekends of the year for florists, and we know how much care and effort goes into every order. That’s why we’ve focused on easing the pressure at this crucial time. Through our partnership with Uber Direct, we provide same-day and scheduled delivery across London, and this Valentine’s we’re offering selected florists free delivery on February 13 and 14 so they can focus on what they do best: creating meaningful moments for their customers.”

Customers can access this special offer when ordering from the following florists: Flower Station, Luxe Petals London, Little Wild, Turners Flowers, Windmill Flowers, Meade’s Florist, Dovers flowers, Dovers Flowers (Pimlico), Mila Mei, Daisy Chain Florist, Floral Design by daisy, Flowers with Swag, Repot Hackney Wick, Igloo Flowers (Bermondsey), Igloo Flowers (Clapham), Ismay Flowers, Nilly Flowers, and Memento Flowers.
