Pharmacy2U,Pharmacy2U, the UK’s largest online pharmacy, is now the only online pharmacy in the UK to hold B Corp status in recognition of its commitment to social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and accountability.

B Corp companies must meet rigorous standards across five key impact areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Pharmacy2U scored 91.4 points out of 200 on the B Impact Assessment, where the median score on the B Impact Assessment is 55, while B Corp Certification requires a minimum of 80 points. In particular, the company was commended for its score in the Customers section, as it was able to demonstrate the positive health outcomes of the service to its customers.

Achieving B Corp status reflects Pharmacy2U’s long-term commitment to balancing sustainable growth with responsibility to people and the planet. Pharmacy2U is focused on high-quality healthcare at scale while continually reducing energy consumption and waste across its operations and increasing recycling efforts, strengthening governance, and investing in the wellbeing of its team and the communities it serves.

As well as maintaining the Great Place To Work certification for 2 years running, the company has set up a GPTW committee to engage and include workers from across the business to discuss any feedback, benefits, and volunteering, alongside offering internal support groups such as Menopause Cafes and Men’s health forums. In addition, the business focuses on consistent communication with customers to gather feedback and make sure the company is truly making a difference. Over 612,000 reviews on Trustpilot and an excellent rating demonstrate positive customer engagement, with many customer suggestions both solicited and acted on.

Kevin Heath, chief executive officer, Pharmacy2U comments: “This important milestone reflects our long-standing commitment to being a force for good in the UK’s critical national pharmacy sector. It validates the work our teams do every day to deliver on sustainability, people, and planet.

“We’re proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with a global community of companies dedicated to building a more equitable and sustainable future. This isn’t the end of the journey; it raises the bar for how we will continue to operate, innovate, and lead with purpose long into the future.”

Laura Turnbull, chief people officer, Pharmacy2U added: added: “Leading our ESG strategy and achieving B Corp certification at Pharmacy2U, together with our dedicated group of ESG Sponsors, has been a truly collaborative and cross-functional effort. I’m incredibly proud of how committed we are as a business to improving the lives of our people, patients, and the planet. I’m continually inspired by the positive impact our teams create every day. This is an important step for us, and we’ll keep working hard to do even better.”

The certification marks the beginning of a new phase for Pharmacy2U, which plans to continuously improve the performance of the business year on year and with the impact areas increasing from 5 to 7 in 2026, there is a great opportunity to embed the ESG work into every area of the business.
