The Butcher’s CellarAustralian Vintage has launched a brand-new wine range, designed for those who take pride in their culinary craft.

Launching in September 2024, at Sainsbury’s, The Butcher’s Cellar is the newest addition to Australian Vintage’s extensive portfolio of alcoholic beverages. Created to pair perfectly with a variety of meats, these wines promise to enhance every bite and sip combination. Retailing at £10, the new range features a Malbec and Red Blend, each with an ABV of 13%.

The Butcher’s Cellar Malbec, sourced from Mendoza, Argentina, offers a soft, balanced taste with fruit-forward notes and a touch of vanilla oak. With medium tannins and a smooth finish, it’s perfect for pairing with lean meats like beef, turkey, chicken, and poultry dishes with sweeter marinades.

The Red Blend from New South Wales, Australia, features concentrated aromas of dark berries and vanilla bean, with hints of white pepper. Its smooth texture and rich flavours of ripe blackberry, cherry, and chocolate make it ideal for slow-cooked beef, ribs, or lamb.

Oliver Hoey, senior brand manager at Australian Vintage, comments: “The Butcher’s Cellar was created for those who see cooking as an art. With 84% of still wine occasions featuring food, consumers are increasingly seeking wines that pair well with meat*. These wines are designed to bring out the very best in every dish, supporting home chefs who take pride in their culinary creations. It’s a wine range that matches their passion and skill.”

Tailored for wine enthusiasts who love meat and BBQ, The Butcher’s Cellar targets men and women aged 30-55, passionate about cooking and entertaining. These home chefs often engage with a community of BBQ lovers, chefs, and influencers, sharing their love for cooking, country, rock music, and craft beer.
