Wasabi, the popular Sushi and Bento restaurant group, to open new restaurant in central London

The restaurant will open on March 27th located on King William Street, London opposite Monument station

Wasabi,Wasabi, the popular Sushi and Bento restaurant group has announced the opening of its latest location, marking Wasabi’s first new opening in London for some time, signalling  a fresh chapter in the brand’s expansion.

Located at a prime spot just steps away from the iconic Monument station, the new venue will bring Wasabi’s high-quality, affordable Japanese cuisine to a new audience in the heart of the City.

The grand opening will take place on 27th March marking the brands return to launching new locations . The King William Street location spans approximately 1,600 sq ft and will offer 37 covers. The space features updated design elements, including new banquette seating, internal signage, and a warmer colour palette which reflects a contemporary and inviting atmosphere.

Henry Birts, CEO of Wasabi, commented: “We are delighted to bring some Wasabi magic to King William Street, our first new restaurant opening in the City of London for some time. This landmark opening with an updated vibrant design signals the start of an exciting 2025 for Wasabi on our journey to bringing made fresh daily sushi and bento dishes full of bold Asian flavours to more and more consumers.”

Wasabi has over 20 years’ experience operating in London, major cities, and high-volume transport locations across the UK, and this new location will be no different.

To celebrate the launch, on opening day, the first 100 customers at the King William Street location will receive a free goodie bag packed with Wasabi treats to celebrate the launch. Plus, Wasabi is offering an exclusive opening promotion. From March 27 to April 10, 2025, Wasabi Rewards Members visiting the new King William Street location can enjoy a free side or drink with their order. The available free side options include hot or cold gyoza or edamame, while the free drink options include the Wasabi Aloe range, with flavors such as watermelon, yuzu, mango, pomegranate, or original.

Customers who are not yet Wasabi Rewards Members can join for free and start earning rewards with every visit. The app is available for download at wasabi.uk.com/wasabi-rewards.
