Iconic American hamburger brand Wendy’s® is continuing its delicious expansion across the U.K. with a host of fresh new restaurants that will create approximately 120 jobs across four locations, promising to bring Wendy’s fresh famous food to more fans across the country. The brand also entered into a development agreement with Khidmat Limited to bring six Wendy’s restaurants to Englanders in the Southwest.
So…where will Wendy’s open next?
The North
The North will welcome a new Wendy’s restaurant in Newcastle, in addition to the three that opened earlier this year in Whitby, Barlborough, and Kirkby. Why Aye! Get ready to enjoy Wendy’s iconic square hamburgers and Baconator Fries (a twist on a Geordie classic) – featuring natural cut, skin-on, sea-salted fries topped with a warm, creamy cheese sauce, shredded cheddar, and crispy Applewood smoked bacon. This location is set to open in the heart of Newcastle soon.
The Midlands
The Midlands is already home to Wendy’s in Derby and Lincoln. Later this year, Rutland, the smallest county in the U.K., will also welcome its own Wendy’s on the A1 northbound. The new restaurant will be a convenient stop for travellers seeking early door delights from Wendy’s tasty breakfast menu, or on-the-go treats such as Chicken Wraps – ideal for journeys to the East Midlands and Leicestershire.
The Southeast
Essex, brace yourselves! Colchester will be joining the Wendy’s party, brightening up the high street with its mouth-watering menu. Add some spice into Britain’s oldest recorded town by tucking into Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich – complete with a juicy chicken breast marinated and breaded with Wendy’s unique, fiery blend of peppers and spices to deliver flavour inside and out.
London
Another London location will be opening soon on Fulham Road where travellers, commuters, and locals alike can grab a delicious bite to eat or treat themselves to a famous creamy and refreshing Frosty® dessert.
The Southwest
Don’t worry Southwestern Englanders, Wendy’s is coming your way soon! Wendy’s is thrilled to announce it has signed a new development agreement with franchise organization Khidmat Limited that will bring six new restaurants to Southwest England. Khidmat’s Managing Director Farhat Abbas and Operations Director Isa Naeem decided to grow with Wendy’s because of the brand’s global recognition and worldclass support system. Their mission is to serve the best square hamburgers, crispy chicken, and mouthwatering salads, all made fresh to order.

What will be on the menu?
Wendy’s focus has been on quality since day one. In fact, its fresh beef patties are square because they do not cut corners. All menu items are made to order and customisable, and ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible. Wendy’s hamburgers are made with fresh British beef, delicious salads are prepared fresh daily, and sandwiches are served hot off the grill.
At the new restaurants, customers will find the same signature items they know and love from the United States including the Baconator®, Dave’s Double™, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and of course, the classic Frosty® dessert (in chocolate AND vanilla, and for a limited time, try the Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty). Alongside this, there is an exclusive range of items tailored to Brits, such as the Avocado Chicken Club, Curry Bean Burger, and chicken nuggets made from whole chicken breast fillet.
Wendy’s also offers a craveable breakfast menu, giving customers one less reason to hit snooze in the morning including the Breakfast Baconator, the Classic Egg & Cheese Sandwiches with optional bacon or sausage, and the new Egg Double Stack packed with two freshly cracked eggs, plus a range of high-quality coffee options including Flat Whites, Cappuccinos and Lattes.
