Whole Foods Market rolls out new range review process

Whole Foods Market - Retailer NewsLeading natural and organic foods retailer, Whole Foods Market, has just rolled out a new supplier process, created to improve the rigour and efficiency of the onboarding process.

This new process gives all potential and existing suppliers the same opportunity to get products stocked at Whole Foods Market, with clear requirements and timings. The new process will also help the retailer to offer a bigger range of products to customers.

For suppliers, this process gives them a clear timetable to follow for specific category product submissions, as well as clearer communication to help them prepare for a launch.

If a brand makes the decision to join as an exclusive supplier, the retailer can offer more extensive in-store and marketing support, however the submission process remains the same as any other supplier. This forms part of the retailer’s strategy to create a level playing field for all brands interested in being stocked in Whole Foods Market.

Jade Hoai, director of purchasing and operations at Whole Foods Market UK, comments: “We have created a more robust process in order to offer a bigger range of products to our customers and provide an easy-to-use process for our new and existing suppliers.

“We wanted to make sure there was one, clear way to become a Whole Foods Market supplier, whereby every brand is treated equally whether existing or new.

“This gives small, emerging and new brands a better opportunity to be a supplier for Whole Foods Market, and allows us to deliver against our promise to provide our customers to the newest and most innovative products in the market.”

The supplier pack can be easily accessed through the Whole Foods Market website at https://www.wholefoodsmarket.co.uk/information-potential-suppliers. For access to the timetable, potential and existing suppliers can register on the supplier portal.
