Wild Thingz lands on Ocado.com with sweets that pass the parent test

This summer, family treat time just got a whole lot wilder. Wild Thingz, the rebellious new sweet brand changing the game for kids and parents alike, is hitting Ocado Retail, the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket, nationwide from the 16th June, bringing its much-loved 130g share packs to even more households across the UK.

On a mission to reimagine what a lower-sugar, organic sweets look and taste like. Wild Thingz is the brand for parents who want better, and kids who want bold. Every gummy in the line-up is made with organic, plant-based ingredients, with no artificial flavours, colours, gelatine, palm oil or preservatives, and half the sugar of traditional sweets.

Launching on Ocado Retail with its full 130g fruity organic gummy range:

  • Zesty Pests – Tangy Lemon Maggots, Cherry Spiders, and Green Apple Flies.

  • Fruity Flyz – Juicy Red Apple Butterflies, Blackcurrant Ladybirds, and Orange Wasps.

  • Gummy Grubs – Playful fruity combos like Cola Snails, peach frogs and blackcurrant worms

As part of its Ocado debut, Wild Thingz will be running a special launch promotion: Buy any 2 sharebags for just £4 from 18th June to 15th July – the perfect time to stock up for summer.

Wild Thingz isn’t just doing sweets differently – it’s demanding change from the confectionery industry. Upon launch, the brand issued a bold challenge to sweet giants like Haribo and Mars, urging them to clean up their ingredients and cut the junk. Founder Fliss Newland, formerly of Mondelez, travelled from London to Yorkshire to hand-deliver a letter directly to Haribo’s HQ.

“Sweets should spark joy, not concern,” says Newland. “If we can make them fun, plant-based, and free from all the artificial fillers, so can the big brands. It’s time for them to raise the bar.”

New YouGov research commissioned by Wild Thingz shows that 64% of parents are hesitant to give their kids sweets due to sugar and additives, whilst 73% agree that childhood isn’t complete without the occasional treat. Wild Thingz sits squarely in the sweet spot – giving parents the confidence to say yes, and giving kids sweets that feel like actual fun.

Already making waves on Amazon, in Brakes, over 230  in person stores nationwide and on TikTok Shop, Wild Thingz is now primed to reach a new audience through Ocado Retail. Whether it’s a picnic, party bag or just a post-school snack, Wild Thingz proves that you can have big flavour and fun, without the junk.
