XIX Vodka, the premium spirit brand launched by the Sidemen, is set to release a new flavour chosen by fans of the YouTube collective.
The new Toffee Apple flavour will be sold exclusively on the XIX Vodka website from 5th October.
The new flavour was teased at the Sidemen’s sell-out charity football match, after fans tested three flavours.
From the three flavours, Toffee Apple came out on top as fan’s choice, beating Lemon Drop and Mint, with thousands of votes submitted online.
Phil Neale, XIX marketing director, said: “When it came to developing our new flavour, we wanted to make sure it was something a little different, that really stood out.
“Toffee Apple is intended for dark nights and festive vibes, perfect as we head into the winter season, and we’re confident that Toffee Apple will be the must have vodka for Halloween and beyond.”
The launch was announced on Sidemen Sunday, the weekly episode from the YouTubers, and will be served at the XIX Bar at Edinburgh Cocktail Week from the 3rd -10th October to give eager fans early access to try the new flavour ahead of it being available for sale online.
When it comes to serving the new flavour, XIX suggests either the signature 3/2/1 style serve: Toffee Apple Vodka Spritz. Made up of three parts lemonade, two parts Toffee Apple Vodka, and one part apple juice, this mix is sweet, warming and designed to get drinkers into the spirit of Halloween and Christmas.
Toffee Apple XIXpresso Martini – XIX’s twist on one of the most loved cocktails in the world – is also one of the serves that will be available at the XIX Bar at Edinburgh Cocktail Week.Toffee Apple is the premium brand’s fourth flavoured vodka, after XIX successfully launching Mixed Berry, Tropical Ice and Gumball Orange.
Vodka fans have been enjoying the drink across the UK, with the most popular Mixed Berry flavour garnering a cult like following in Wetherspoon pubs, and the Gumball Orange flavour fast becoming known for the Gumballini signature serve – a ‘Peach Mimosa’-style cocktail.
XIX was founded in 2022, but the past 18 months have marked a period of rapid growth for the brand, driven by its expansion into both the on-trade and off-trade markets.
The brand has been celebrated by industry leaders, including receiving high praise from hospitality giant Sir Tim Martin, the chairman and founder of JD Wetherspoon. He revealed the premium vodka brand had customers “queuing in the aisles”.
