Wickes announces new advertising partnership with Global

Home improvement retailer Wickes has signed a new sponsorship deal with Global, the Media & Entertainment group.

The partnership launches today (17th April 2023) and will see Wickes become the headline sponsor of Angie Greaves on Smooth Radio, broadcast Monday to Friday, 4pm to 7pm.

As part of the deal, Wickes will also feature on Classic FM and Heart and on Global’s portfolio of popular podcasts. The audio campaign will also be amplified on Global’s outdoor estate with impactful visual ads in key locations.

Facilitated by Dentsu Creative and Carat, the partnership aims to drive awareness of kitchens from Wickes with a mix of in-show credits, monthly microshows and promotions, reaching over 1.9million listeners per week. 

Gary Kibble, chief marketing and digital officer at Wickes, said: “At Wickes, we have a range of kitchens that cater to any style and budget, and this integrated partnership with Global, will allow us to communicate this message in an authentic and engaging way.

“We are delighted to be working with the biggest commercial radio network. We know that our audience engages with audio and OOH media so the partnership provides an opportunity for us to speak to our target audience, and connect with new audiences, at key times of the year.”
