The Single Malts of Scotland is a range of exemplary single malt Scotch whiskies carefully selected by Elixir Distillers Master Blender from the five main producing regions of Scotland. With a commitment to quality and a passion for the art of whisky making, each release showcases the unique characteristics of Scotland’s diverse distilleries and invites drinkers on a journey of discovery.

Single Malts of Scotland presents seven new bottlings to the market for 2023, comprising of three Reserve Casks and four A Marriage Of Casks.

Reserve Casks Parcel 11:

The Reserve Casks are a flavour-led exploration of fine single malts in small batches of three to ten casks. Bottled at a consistent 48% with no added colour and no chill-filtration, the Reserve Casks are intended to suit the palates of both novices and experts alike.

  1. Ardmore Distillery RRP £69.95: A small batch of three ex-Laphroaig barrels and three refill barrels from Ardmore Distillery has been used to create this Highland Single Malt, distilled in 2009 and aged for thirteen years. Situated on the outskirts of Kennethmont, built by Adam Teacher in 1898, this distillery creates a balanced spirit with spice, fudge and smoke.
  2. Caol Ila Distillery RRP £65.95: A small batch of four refill butts from Caol Ila Distillery has been used to create this single malt, distilled in 2012 and aged for eleven years. Hiding at the bottom of the cliffs by Port Askaig on Islay’s eastern shore, Caol Ila has a reputation for producing smoky, maritime whiskies of elegance and poise.
  3. An Orkney Distillery RRP £65.95: A small batch of three Oloroso sherry butts from an Orkney distillery has been used to create this Highland Single Malt, distilled in 2012 and aged for eleven years. This Orcadian distillery is well known for its distinctive heather-like peat smoke, creating a rich and characterful single malt.

A Marriage Of Casks:

The Marriage series exemplifies the artistry of blending, offering whisky enthusiasts a chance to experience the complexity and richness that only the finest casks can provide.

  1. A Speyside Distillery RRP £325: A marriage of whiskies from 1992, matured in just three barrels which yielded a total of 806 bottles. The taste is reminiscent of a basket of rich, sweet freshly made pastries with apples and pears. The unknown origins of this delicious, complex 31-year-old Speyside single malt allows you enjoy it without any preconceptions as your imagination wonders which distillery it hails from.
  2. An Islay Distillery RRP £400: A marriage of whiskies from 1990 to 1991, matured in just three casks, two American oak refill barrels and a refill sherry butt, which yielded a total of 1241 bottles. This is a wonderfully old-fashioned 30 year old Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery. Aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks to create a smoky whisky with spice and tropical hints.
  3. Imperial Distillery RRP £850: This is a marriage of whiskies from 1995, matured in just three American oak refill barrels which yielded a total of 198 bottles. The much-loved Imperial distillery closed its doors for the final time in 1998 and was eventually demolished in 2013. Its whisky is increasingly hard to find, with its supple, elegant, fruity style sought after by malt fans around the world.
  4. Ardmore Distillery RRP £215: This is a marriage of whiskies from 1997, matured in just three hogsheads which yielded a total of 772 bottles. Situated on the outskirts of Kennethmont, built by Adam Teacher in 1898, this distillery creates a balanced spirit with spice, fudge and smoke.
