Mindful ChefMindful ChefMindful ChefThis autumn, Mindful Chef is teaming up with Michelin Green Star restaurant Pythouse Kitchen Garden to bring exceptional seasonal dining to homes across the UK, with a limited-edition Seasonal Roast Box that’s created for sharing.

Launching on Friday 2nd October, the collaboration brings together the UK’s highest-rated recipe box and Pythouse Kitchen Garden’s celebrated plot-to-plate philosophy, with everything needed to create a restaurant-quality Sunday roast at home – without the usual effort of planning, shopping and hours of prep.

And for those looking to make their Sunday lunch a little more regal, the box features Norfolk Black Chicken, the same rare-breed chicken served to King Charles III at a state banquet at Windsor Castle in 2025. The breed is slow-grown and free-range, grazing on herb-rich fields to develop its distinctive flavour.

Tucked behind enchanting 18th-century walls in the Wiltshire countryside, Pythouse Kitchen Garden is renowned for exceptional seasonal cooking, with gardeners and chefs working side by side to harvest produce just steps from the kitchen. Its Green Michelin Star recognises its commitment to sustainability, while its zero-waste approach and focus on local, seasonal produce closely align with Mindful Chef’s ambition to build a more sustainable food system.

The result is a roast made for more than just eating. It’s designed to bring family and friends together, slow down the Sunday ritual and put a proper feast back at the heart of the table.

Available exclusively through Mindful Chef, each Seasonal Roast Box serves four, with deliveries available every Friday in October (2, 9, 16 and 23 October).

  • Grass-fed Aberdeen Angus Beef Sirloin (£80) – tender grass-fed beef served alongside golden potatoes, skin-on rainbow carrots, roasted cavolo nero, candied beetroot and a vibrant kale salad, finished with a decadent beef sauce.

  • Whole Norfolk Black Chicken (£65) – premium Norfolk Black Chicken paired with golden potatoes, orange, purple and white skin-on roasted carrots, roasted cavolo nero, candied beetroot and kale salad, finished with a luscious chicken sauce.

  • Tenderstem, Artichoke & Cheddar Gratin (£50) – a rich vegetarian centrepiece combining earthy artichoke hearts, Tenderstem broccoli, comforting cannellini beans, and swirls of cream cheese, accompanied by the same generous selection of seasonal trimmings.

Ingredients arrive pre-portioned and ready to prepare, giving hosts more time to enjoy the occasion and less time worrying about the logistics.

Jesse Kempner, head chef at Mindful Chef, said: “Sunday lunch is one of those wonderful food rituals that brings people together, and we wanted to create something that celebrates that feeling while showcasing the finest seasonal produce that the UK has to offer. The Pythouse approach to seasonal, thoughtful cooking and their incredible relationship between garden and kitchen felt like a natural fit for Mindful Chef.

“We’ve created a roast that feels genuinely special, but is still achievable at home – from a rare-breed Norfolk Black Chicken with royal credentials to beautifully seasonal, heritage vegetables. It’s about taking away the stress of Sunday lunch and giving people more time to enjoy the food, and each other.”

Darren Broom, head chef at Pythouse Kitchen Garden, said: “Sunday roast is all about bringing people together and making the most of what’s in season. At Pythouse, we’re fortunate to have our kitchen garden right on our doorstep, so we can work closely with the seasons and let the quality of the produce lead the cooking. This collaboration with Mindful Chef brings that same approach into people’s homes, making it possible to enjoy a really special roast with top quality British ingredients, without taking away from the time spent around the table.”

The Mindful Chef x Pythouse Kitchen Garden Seasonal Roast Box will be available to order from mindfulchef.com, with deliveries on Fridays in October only: 2, 9, 16 and 23 October 2026. Limited availability applies.
