Beyond Meat introduces Beyond BurgerⓇ Jalapeño into major UK retailers

The iconic plant-based meat brand turns up the heat launching summer’s hottest burger with a spicy kick

Beyond Meat - ProductsBeyond Meat, Inc., a leader in plant-based meat, is launching a new spicy jalapeño burger in time for BBQ season. Irresistibly juicy and delivering a spicy kick, the new Beyond Burger Jalapeño is the company’s ‘hottest’ plant-based burger yet.

Great for carnivores and flexitarians, the new Beyond Burger Jalapeño can be enjoyed on the BBQ and it is also great for celebrating sporting occasions too – such as the footy.

With recent UK data revealing nearly eight in 10 of us enjoy spicy food at our BBQs, the new Beyond Burger Jalapeño will tingle the nation’s tastebuds with its delicious spicy kick, famous Beyond Meat juicy, meaty taste and perfect BBQ cook.

Powered by plant-based goodness, like all Beyond Meat products, the Beyond Burger Jalapeño is high in protein (16g per 100g), and is made entirely from plant-based ingredients without soy.

Ellie Stevens, Senior Brand Manager GB at Beyond Meat said, “There is a growing trend for spicy foods in the UK. Our recent data has shown that Brits love spice at their BBQs with nearly a third of consumers purchasing spicy products, so we wanted to bring a delicious spicy kick to our iconic Beyond Burger.

With more consumers serving plant-based foods at BBQs the Beyond Burger Jalapeño is a great option for grilling and for those looking to reduce their animal meat consumption. This spicy burger is a perfect choice for meat lovers, flexitarians, vegetarians and vegans alike, who want to continue eating what they love, no sacrifice required.

The new plant-based burger is now in 280 Sainsbury’s stores (chilled), 280 Tesco stores (chilled) and available from Ocado. It will additionally launch into 200 Tesco stores (frozen) on 6th June and 200 Sainsbury’s stores (frozen) in September. The RRP is £4.30 for two patties.
