Yorkshire’s outlet destination, Junction 32, is thrilled to announce the leading sports retailer, Sports Direct’s new relocation and upsized store. The newly renovated 7,000 sq ft. Sports Direct store, owned by international retail group, Frasers Group, is set to open its doors on Friday 7th June.

The store promises an enhanced shopping experience, offering an extensive range of the world’s biggest sports and lifestyle brands, including iconic brands such as Nike, adidas, Under Armour, Asics and New Balance.

The store will feature Sports Direct’s renowned Running concept, making it easier than ever to find the latest running gear no matter your running journey. With specialist sporting areas across men’s, women’s and kidswear, the additions aim to elevate the shopping experience and enable shoppers to find new items with ease.

Sports Direct is committed to bringing the best sports and leisure brands to key retail destinations across the UK and internationally, making Junction 32 a perfect hub to deliver the new and revamped store.

Ger Wright, managing director sports at Frasers Group, said: “We are pleased to open the doors to our larger, elevated Sports Direct store in Junction 32. This opening demonstrates our dedication to expanding and investing into our store portfolio, as well as bringing the best sports and leisure brands, and experiences to key retail destinations across the UK and internationally.”

“As the leading destination for sportswear in the UK, and with the support from our major global brand partners, we continue to expand our retail portfolio on our journey to becoming the number one sports retailer in EMEA.”

Rachel Scott, Head of Leasing at Global Mutual says: “Sports Direct has been integral to Junction 32’s retail mix. We are pleased to be welcoming a new and improved space where customers can browse the latest collections to find essential sports items, from clothing to accessories. The newly expanded store demonstrates our commitment to the sporting category at the centre, following a continued demand. This is just one of many new retail developments we have coming for 2024.”

Junction 32’s expansion and enhancement of Sports Direct is set to further cement its status as a premier shopping destination in Yorkshire, catering to the evolving needs of its fitness-conscious consumers.
