Dolly Wines, the exciting new launch by global superstar Dolly Parton and Accolade Wines, is set to land on UK shores this September. Available as a first to market exclusive at Asda from September 12th, the UK range features a Rosé (RRP: £9.50) and Prosecco (RRP: £11).

The beloved entertainer is known for bringing people together, and each bottle invites wine lovers and music fans alike into Dolly’s world. Dolly Prosecco is a deliciously fresh and zingy sparkling wine. The flavour profile includes stone-fruit aromas such as peach and apricot, with flavours of apple and pears. A crisp, zesty finish with a touch of sweetness makes this wine perfect to celebrate special occasions. Dolly Rosé is a delicate and romantic French Rosé. The wine’s soft, round palate features strawberry, citrus, and a touch of dried sage and is underscored by a subtle saline character, finishing with a gentle acid line and lingering white strawberry flavours. Both can be enjoyed through multitude of occasions and with food.

Prosecco is the largest sparkling wine region in the UK market, with annual sales of £629m. Meanwhile, UK rosé consumption has risen faster than in any other country over the past two decades. Accolade Wines is meeting this demand by launching the range to appeal to the ever-growing popular Rosé category, and ahead of the festive period with the prosecco – a proven profitable time for retailers.

Parton announced Dolly Wines and Dolly Parton Wines in collaboration with Parton Family Cellars and Accolade Wines at CMA Fest in Nashville in June. Accolade’s full global collection will feature four varietals including Dolly Wines’ Chardonnay (US), Rosé and Prosecco (UK) as well as Dolly Parton Wines’ Sparkling (Australia).

The collaboration between Dolly Parton and Accolades Wine was facilitated by Dolly’s U.S. licensing agency IMG.

Tom Smith, marketing director – Europe, Accolade Wines, said: “We are beyond excited to bring Dolly Wines to the UK. We know UK consumers will love the range, especially given Dolly’s global popularity – with over 100 million albums sold worldwide! Dolly herself was involved in creating this delicious and down to earth range of wines, and we think they capture her captivating sense of fun and sparkle perfectly.

“We’re confident the latest addition to the Accolade Wines portfolio will help drive category growth among two already popular categories – prosecco has highest penetration in sparkling wine amongst wine shoppers, while the French Rosé category is growing at 8.4%.”
