Desi DaruDesi Daru, the premium Indian-inspired vodka brand has done it again, winning top awards from the prestigious American Distilling Institute’s (ADI) 2025 International Spirits Competition, cementing its place once again as the world’s leading flavoured vodka.

Desi Daru’s Alphonso Mango Vodka was awarded:

  • Best of Class – Bottled and Blended – International Vodka
  • Best of Category – Bottled & Blended – International Flavored Vodka
  • Gold MedalIn ADI’s awards, Best of Category, is awarded to the highest-rated spirit within a specific style, Flavored Vodka, in this case, however Best of Class is an even greater accolade, granted to the single best product across a wider group of categories. In this case Desi Daru was not only the best in Flavored Vodka but was the standout for the judges among all Bottled and Blended International Vodkas overall.

The ADI International Spirits Competition is well-known for its scrupulous blind- tasting process, its feedback process and ensuring that only the best spirits in the world are recognised. Hundreds of entries are received every year from distillers across the globe, so securing these top accolades affirms Desi Daru’s place as a truly world-class spirit.

Desi Daru is made using the finest English winter wheat as well as Alphonso mangoes from the Ratnagiri region of Maharashtra, known as the “King of Mangoes”, celebrated for its distinctive sweetness. The vodka received glowing praise from the expert panel of judges, they noted the vodka’s “fantastic, dramatic nose of medium-dry mango”, one judge compared the vodka’s aroma to “mango ice cream smoothie,” while another highlighted its “interesting authenticity of the mango character” that provided “good complexity and balance”.

Founder, Mohit Singh shared, “We have entered our vodkas into the majority of the international spirit competitions, and we’ve been fortunate enough to earn some great awards, but honestly, each competition brings its own unique feedback, and that’s what we truly value. It helps shape our liquid innovation and keeps our marketing on point. The consistent recognition lets us know that we’re on the right path, and that what we’re creating resonates with experts around the world.”

Desi Daru’s vodkas have garnered much international acclaim, the Original and Alphonso Mango varieties scored 98 and 99 respectively in the IWSC awards, as well as the receiving World’s Best Flavoured Vodka at the World Drink Awards and the Las Vegas Global Spirit Awards, 5 Master Medals at The Spirit Masters and a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition. These numerous honours are a testament to the brand’s exceptional quality and their skill in creating a fresh, juicy mango flavour.

These awards have also helped the brand make significant impact in London’s elite bar scene, with their vodkas listed in venues such as the hotel cocktail bar The Churchill Bar and Terrace, speakeasy Opium, the Michelin-starred Benares and the award-winning BiBi restaurant.
