Cadogan today announces a string of standout new international and long-term lettings on the King’s Road, totalling over 28,000 sq ft, underscoring the area’s strong momentum and continued appeal as one of London’s most attractive shopping and lifestyle destinations.
New arrivals include Dutch menswear brand, Mr Marvis, choosing 52 King’s Road for their London debut and luxury womenswear label Needle & Thread at 102 King’s Road underpinning the street’s premium positioning as a home of experience-led, international retail.
These latest signings build on a strong year of lettings, reinforcing the neighbourhood’s carefully curated appeal, including the London flagships of Maksu and Cefinn, UK debuts of French brands Jonak, Soeur and Ysé, and cult-footwear brand, Birkenstock. Duke of York Square has also welcomed a number of new openings, including boutiques from Alice + Olivia, activewear brand Vuori and French fashion house A.P.C. These complement recent food and beverage arrivals from The Chelsea Grocer and Cafe Linea, strengthening the area’s holistic appeal and thriving hospitality scene.
Famed for its independent spirit and creative heritage, the King’s Road continues to attract brands looking for an experiential retail presence in a high-footfall, characterful location. Following its annual results announced in June, Cadogan reported a 4% increase in footfall and a 3% uplift in consumer spend across the Estate last year, outperforming central London averages. The growing pipeline of new signings shows further growth and resilience for the retail portfolio with activity on the King’s Road anchored by the redevelopment of the historic Gaumont cinema site into a new cultural and arts-led destination, as well as a further hospitality openings to announced shortly.
James Stoll, property director, Cadogan comments: “The King’s Road continues to evolve and these latest openings underscore the continued strength of physical retail in the best destinations. The momentum we’re seeing reflects real confidence in well-connected, high-footfall neighbourhoods, cementing Chelsea’s position as one of London’s most vibrant shopping and lifestyle destinations and these exciting, international brands – many choosing Chelsea for their UK debut – perfectly complement the area’s distinctive character and global reputation.”
Cadogan is advised by CBRE and Savills on retail lettings.
