Family-run home, garden, and outdoor living retailer Charlies has expanded its store network with the opening of a brand-new site in Cheltenham, marking the company’s ninth store and its first in Gloucestershire.
Located on Tewkesbury Road, the new store represents another key milestone in Charlies’ ongoing growth strategy – strengthening its bricks and mortar presence and complementing its thriving ecommerce platform http://www.charlies.co.uk.
The store is now open and trading successfully following a soft launch earlier this week, with an official grand opening celebration planned for Saturday 11th October. The event will feature live music, family-friendly activities and brand giveaways from leading names such as Barbour, Ninja, Stoney Creek, and Le Chameau, reflecting Charlies’ commitment to creating a fun, community-focused shopping experience.
Cheltenham customers will enjoy the brand’s much-loved range of homeware, garden, outdoor living, DIY, clothing and footwear, featuring trusted names such as Le Creuset, Smeg, Joules, Stihl, and many more.
With over 50 new jobs created locally, the opening highlights Charlies’ commitment to supporting communities while offering customers great value and service from a team that truly knows their products.
“We’ve had such a warm welcome already and are so excited to officially celebrate with everyone this weekend,” said Rebecca Lloyd, Managing Director at Charlies. “Cheltenham is the perfect place for us – a town that loves home and outdoor living as much as we do. We can’t wait to share the full Charlies experience with the community.”
Founded in 1986 in Mid Wales, Charlies remains proudly independent and family-owned, operating stores across Wales and Shropshire and continuing to invest in both its brick-and-mortar estate and online growth, with over 55,000 five-star customer reviews.
