Wingstop UKI, the restaurant brand that doesn’t play when it comes to flavour, today opens its first site in Sheffield. To celebrate the highly anticipated opening, the first 100 people through the door will receive free chicken wings.
Located in the Oasis Dining Quarter at Meadowhall, Yorkshire’s leading shopping and leisure destination, the new 4,585 sq. ft site hosts 114 covers. Just three miles from Sheffield city centre and directly connected by tram and rail, Meadowhall attracts millions of visitors every year looking to shop and dine all under one roof.
Diners can expect the full menu of wings, tenders and burgers all cooked to order and hand-sauced-and-tossed in Wingstop UKI’s bold flavours – from Hawaiian and Lemon Pepper to Mango Habanero and Atomic. Milkshakes, freestyle drinks, Camden Town Beer, as well as a churros selection for dessert are also on offer.
Today’s opening advances Wingstop UKI’s ambitious growth strategy, including recently announced plans to launch in Ireland. The brand currently operates 77 sites across the UK and employs over 3,000 people, with plans grow to as many as 200 sites within the next five years.
Driven by standout products and a culture-led approach that connects with a younger audience, Wingstop UKI continues to build its reputation through authentic collaborations, events, and partnerships spanning music, fashion, and sport.
Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UKI, said: “We’re thrilled to finally open our first Wingstop in Sheffield at Meadowhall. It’s such a great location that brings together shopping, entertainment and great food – the perfect place for us to join the city. I’m incredibly proud of the team who made this happen and grateful to all our fans across Yorkshire who’ve been waiting for this one. We can’t wait to welcome everyone in and share our bold flavours with Sheffield.”
Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “The opening of Wingstop UKI at Meadowhall adds a bold new flavour to our strong and diverse dining offer. The news of their arrival sparked a huge reaction from fans, reflecting the viral popularity the brand has built, and it’s exciting to see that anticipation turn into reality with their doors now open. Their distinctive menu and cult following make them a standout addition, and we’re confident they’ll be a huge hit with visitors from Sheffield and beyond.”
