BlueIron launches High Strength Drops, a new liquid iron supplement

BlueIronBlueIron has announced the launch of BlueIron High Strength Drops, a new liquid iron supplement that strengthens the brand’s position within the premium liquid iron segment, while offering retailers a higher-strength option designed to complement the existing BlueIron range.

The launch builds on BlueIron’s established presence in liquid iron supplementation, responding to growing consumer demand for higher-strength, well-tolerated formats that fit seamlessly into modern lifestyles. Iron contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, cognitive function, the formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Iron deficiency anaemia remains one of the most common nutritional deficiencies globally, with women particularly vulnerable due to factors such as menstruation, pregnancy and dietary choices. While dietary iron intake typically ranges between 12-18mg per day, absorption can be limited, making supplementation an important consideration for many consumers.

BlueIron High Strength Drops deliver 20mg of iron per daily dose (142% of the Recommended Dietary Intake) in a liquid pipette format, allowing precise and flexible dosing. The formulation uses a patented micro-encapsulated ferric (Fe³⁺) iron, designed to release iron in the more alkaline environment of the intestine. This targeted release approach is intended to support tolerability and be gentle on the stomach, helping to reduce the digestive discomfort sometimes associated with conventional iron supplements.

The formulation also includes:

  • Vitamin C, which contributes to increased iron absorption
  • Nordic blueberry juice, harvested in Finland, to provide a naturally pleasant taste
  • An easy-to-use pipette to support accurate, measured dosing

BlueIron High Strength Drops are suitable for pregnant women, vegetarians and vegans, and contain no artificial colours.

Emily Garfield, product manager for BlueIron at Lanes Healthcare, said: “We’re seeing a clear shift towards liquid supplements that offer both efficacy and a positive user experience. BlueIron High Strength Drops were developed to provide a higher iron intake in a format that is easy to dose, gentle on the stomach and practical for everyday use. This launch allows us to broaden the BlueIron range while addressing a real consumer need for flexibility and tolerability within iron supplementation.”

BlueIron High Strength Drops will be available in the UK from 13 January 2026 via Natural Dispensary and launching on Amazon (Date TBC), with an RRP of £16, providing 31 daily doses per bottle.
