Lucy & Yak continues expansion with new outlet opening at Gunwharf Quays

Lucy & YakSocially and environmentally conscious lifestyle brand, Lucy & Yak is pleased to announce the opening of its second outlet store, launching at Gunwharf Quays.

Located in the heart of Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays is one of the UK’s leading outlet shopping destinations, home to over 90 premium brands alongside a vibrant mix of dining and leisure. Set against the backdrop of Portsmouth Harbour, the centre offers views across the Solent and of the iconic Spinnaker Tower.

Known for its iconic prints and responsibly sourced clothing, Lucy & Yak is excited to join Gunwharf Quays’ offering. The famous pink-painted store will welcome its customers and community on Friday 20th February, 2026. With its range of exclusive (Im)perfect Yaks, hidden gems, Re:Yakked items and more. (Im)perfect Yaks are the items with minor issues or defects which are traditionally discarded across the industry for not meeting the quality standards. For Lucy & Yak, these items are still totally wearable (and loveable!) – it’s all part of the brand’s mission to keep our clothing on people and out of landfill.

Inside, the new store will feature Lucy & Yak’s signature pink colour palette offset with flashes of yellow creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The store will include two changing rooms, one of which will be fully accessible.

Lucy & Yak’s expansion follows the successful launches of stores in Bristol, Cambridge, Canterbury, Norwich, Nottingham, Canterbury, Manchester, Cardiff, Exeter, Chester, Edinburgh, as well as the first outlet in Castleford – all of which have already proven just as popular with the brand’s community as their beloved flagship store in Brighton, North Road and “little peach shop”, focused on their L&Y customer in Brighton, The Lanes. The brand has also recently opened a six-month pop up in Spitalfields, further strengthening their presence in London.

These fourteen stores reflect Lucy & Yak’s ambition to build a stronger physical presence across the UK, offering more opportunities for face-to-face connection with the Yak community. Each shop also serves as a Re:Yak hub, supporting the brand’s circularity initiatives – including a buyback scheme called PreLoved – and providing space for customers to recycle, repair or upcycle their clothes.

“Opening our second outlet at Gunwharf Quays is a really exciting step for us. Our outlets are all about circularity and community – giving (Im)perfect Yaks and PreLoved items a second chance – making it easier for customers to shop in a way that keeps clothing in circulation for longer. Gunwharf Quays felt like a great fit for us, bringing our outlet offering to the south, and we’re looking forward to creating a welcoming space where both new and existing customers can connect with the brand and be part of our growing community.” – Ginny Yang, Head of Retail at Lucy & Yak

“Here at Gunwharf Quays, we strive to offer our guests a unique mix of brands and experiences that can’t be found elsewhere, so we’re thrilled to announce that we will be welcoming Southern England’s first Lucy & Yak outlet store. The brand’s focus on sustainability aligns perfectly with our own values, and we can’t wait to see our guests browsing their fantastic array of products once the store opens next month” – Yvonne Clay, Centre Director at Gunwharf Quays
