Gunwharf Quays, owned and operated by Landsec, has signed British luxury brand Mulberry as part of its continued focus on expanding the outlet’s premium offering.
Launching on 16th October, the pop-up store will bring Mulberry’s iconic leather goods to the south coast ahead of the Christmas trading period, occupying 1,466 square feet of prime retail space at the popular waterfront shopping destination.
Offering a curated edit of Mulberry’s most sought-after styles, the new pop-up will stock everything from everyday icons to elegant gifting pieces.
Landsec saw a strong performance across its outlets in April – June this year, with sales up 11.2% as demand from our guests for premium brands continues to grow.
The arrival of Mulberry at Gunwharf Quays builds on this momentum, adding another prestigious British brand in the run-up to the festive season.
Founded in Somerset in 1971, Mulberry has grown to become the UK’s largest manufacturer of luxury leather goods. Today, it is recognised worldwide for its contemporary take on British heritage and its commitment to sustainable, progressive luxury.
The signing follows a strong year of investment across the outlet, with recent additions to The Avenues including the newly opened Citizen and Oliver Bonas stores, alongside existing brands like Penhaligon’s, AllSaints, Polo Ralph Lauren and Coach.
Pablo Sueiras, head of retail & hospitality leasing at Landsec, said: “We’re focused on elevating Gunwharf Quays as a destination for premium brands, and introducing Mulberry to The Avenues is a testament to its growing appeal.
“With consistent high footfall and our ongoing investment programme enhancing the surroundings, we’re creating the ideal environment for brands to connect with guests. We are seeing continued rise in demand for elevated experiences, and this pop-up is perfectly placed to cater to that trend.”
