Zetes’ FPI system, equipped with a forklift-mounted ImageID Machine Vision station, captures pallet and barcode data at speeds of up to 10 km/h. Seamlessly integrated with Henderson’s WMS via ZetesMedea Logistics Execution software, this solution enhances accuracy by delivering real-time visibility, minimising misplaced stock, and reducing expired product write-offs. Its automated scanning significantly outperforms manual and drone-based methods, improving efficiency while lowering operational costs. Additionally, it ensures regulatory compliance with auditable, time-stamped images that support quality control requirements.
Since the system requires no training, it enables quick onboarding of temporary workers, addressing challenges like a rotating workforce. Its mobile design allows Henderson to effortlessly relocate it for inventory checks across its five warehouses.
“We’ve collaborated with Zetes for over 20 years, continuously integrating new supply chain technologies to optimise our warehouse operations. The Full Pallet Inventory solution has transformed our inventory control while ensuring business continuity. The project was based initially on a three-year projection, but the return was delivered within two years, one year ahead of plan.” said Philip Mehaffey, Logistics Director at Henderson Foodservice Ltd.
“Our relationship with Henderson Group exemplifies the impact of digital transformation in logistics. The machine vision FPI solution offers fast, precise, and scalable inventory management, keeping customers ahead in today’s evolving supply chain,” said Robert Van Vliet, General Manager at Zetes.
