To celebrate Arsenal’s historic Premier League victory, KFC is giving its Finsbury Park, Highbury and Seven Sisters restaurants a tactical transformation, replacing its iconic Colonel Sanders with everyone’s favourite Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta.
Located deep in the heart of the Gunner territory in North London, the one-off makeover lands just as a sea of red and white floods the streets for the club’s official victory parade. Fans are invited to stop by, trust the process, and snap a picture with the limited-edition “Colonel Arteta” signs.
The tongue-in-cheek takeover has already caught attention online after No Context Brits and Arsenal Memes posted KFC’s iconic Gunners makeover on social media, with fans already loving the Colonel x Arteta crossover.
“Bros getting ads with kfc he’s made it”
“Set piece bucket”
“KFC – miKel Fried Chicken”
“KFC – Knows Football Corner”
“I need that. WE need that.”
Phoebe Syms, fame & partnerships lead at KFC UK & Ireland, said: “Now we’ve got Super Mik Arteta, he knows exactly what we need. It takes a lot for the Colonel to give up his spot, but we’re happy to make an exception on this occasion – and let’s face it, he looks good in red.”
The signs will remain in place until Monday as celebrations continue across North London.
