Meet the dipped croissants landing at Sainsbury’s this June

Landing in Sainsbury’s Locals from the 10th June, the new Taste the Difference Pistachio Dipped Croissant and Taste the Difference Raspberry Dipped Croissant offer an indulgent addition to your everyday shop.
 Inspired by the demand for eye-catching, insta-worthy bakes, these new additions bring new, irresistible creations to its shelves. Think rich, flavourful fillings, from nutty pistachio crème to tangy raspberry, finished with hand-decorated toppings.
The launch comes as searches for “croissant” reached an all-time peak earlier this year, while interest in creative croissants continues to boom, with searches for “cube croissant” jumping by more than 2,500% over the past five years – highlighting the growing appetite for putting a twist on this classic French pastry.
James Campbell, director of product & innovation at Sainsbury’s, says: “From cube croissants to cronuts, elevated toppings to oozy fillings – there’s no denying bold-flavoured bakes are having a moment. Our two new Taste the Difference Dipped Croissants put a flavour-packed spin on a nation’s favourite pastry – bringing the joy and decadence of viral patisserie counters to customers for under £2. Filled with either a rich pistachio crème or vibrant raspberry, each croissant pairs indulgent fillings with standout finishes, tasting every bit as good as they look.”
To celebrate the launch, each of the croissants will be available in Sainsbury’s Locals for a limited-time introductory price of £1.50 from 10th June until 30th June, before returning to £1.95 (£22.94 / kg).
Sainsbury’s new camera-ready croissants:
  • Taste the Difference Pistachio Dipped Croissant
    A real showstopper and one of the nation’s favourite flavours! Filled with soft pistachio crème, dipped in a sweet pistachio green icing and finished with crunchy pistachio nibs, this croissant is rich and buttery with a beautifully nutty touch in every bite.
  • Taste the Difference Raspberry Dipped Croissant
    A bright, fruity option, filled with tangy raspberry jam, dipped in pastel pink icing and topped with freeze-dried raspberry pieces – a familiar favourite with a vibrant, trending twist.
Blending irresistible flavours with wow-factor finishes, the new Taste the Difference croissants are set to steal the spotlight this summer.
