With Wimbledon set to begin on 29th June, Aldi is celebrating by offering thousands of free strawberries to shoppers visiting the Wimbledon store between 29th June-3rd July.
What’s more, the nation’s cheapest supermarket is helping shoppers nationwide celebrate the tennis tournament by launching its Nature’s Pick British Strawberries for just 99p (227g) — a whopping 55% cheaper than equivalent punnets at M&S.
The supermarket revealed it sold almost 1,700 tonnes of the beloved British staple during Wimbledon last year — equivalent to a staggering 4.5 million punnets. As tennis season gets into full swing, Aldi predicts to serve up another win with over 5 million punnets expected to fly from shelves over the tournament this year. This follows a growing trend in health-conscious shoppers with strawberries becoming a go-to staple for households as they are naturally sweet and packed with vitamin C and fibre.
Whether it’s for enjoying with a dollop of cream or embracing the latest TikTok recipe such as ‘roasted strawberry salad’, shoppers can enjoy Aldi’s deliciously sweet and juicy strawberries for less. As well as Nature’s Pick British Strawberries (99p, 227g), shoppers can enjoy Aldi’s Everyday Essentials Wonky Strawberries (£1.19, 227g), Nature’s Pick British Strawberries (£1.99, 400g), Nature’s Pick British Strawberries (£2.79, 600g) and Specially Selected British Grown Strawberries (£2.85, 400g).
Aldi’s range of strawberries are available in stores nationwide now.
