Chipotle’s Pollo Asado is coming to the UK

Cult-favourite Chipotle Mexican Grill is putting its own spin on Chicken Asado, launching Pollo Asado in the UK for the first time on 1st September.
Already a beloved staple for Mexican food lovers in the UK, this new version of Pollo Asado is grilled fresh in its restaurants throughout the day. It is then tossed in a bold marinade of smoky guajillo peppers, zesty fresh lime, garlic, and hand-cut coriander to create a rich, savoury flavour with a kick of heat.
Chipotle uses Red Tractor certified chicken as part of its commitment to responsible sourcing. Pollo Asado will feature halal-suitable chicken at select restaurants in the UK.
Like all Chipotle food, Pollo Asado is made in-house, with real ingredients and contains no artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives.
“Chicken Asado is already familiar to many UK diners, which gives us an exciting opportunity to make it distinctly Chipotle,” said Anat Davidzon, managing director of international at Chipotle. “Pollo Asado brings together bright, craveable flavour with what sets Chipotle apart – real, fresh ingredients and food prepared in our restaurants every day. As we continue to grow in the UK, we want to give guests more reasons to discover what makes the Chipotle experience different.”
The launch comes as Chipotle continues its expansion across the UK, with a new restaurant opening in Holborn next month. For those eager to try, Pollo Asado will be available for dine-in, pick-up, or delivery via Uber Eats, Just Eat, and Deliveroo across Chipotle’s 20+ Greater London locations.
How to Order It: Nevielle Panthaky, Senior Vice President of Culinary at Chipotle, recommends trying Pollo Asado in a bowl with white rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, and guacamole. The sweetness of the tomatoes and the creaminess of the guacamole perfectly complement the smoky guajillo peppers. Packed with 39g of protein and 17g of fibre, Chipotle’s new chicken is bound to be a hit.
