Majestic kicks off six-week charity drive ‘Small Majestic Acts’ with £10,000 donation from Felix Solis

Majestic, the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer, has kicked off a six-week festival of fundraising in a bid to raise tens of thousands of pounds for the Majestic Charitable Foundation.

Teams from across the business will pull together to raise funds in a variety of different ways throughout September and early October as part of its Small Majestic Acts campaign, proving that small gestures from colleagues, customers and suppliers can add up to make a big impact.

Each of Majestic’s 217 stores will host its own Charity Tasting during the campaign, with proceeds from ticket sales going directly to the Majestic Charitable Foundation. Stores will also be giving customers the chance to donate 25p at the checkout through Majestic’s partnership with fintech charity Pennies. Since that tie-up was launched back in December 2024, 1.1 million Majestic shoppers have raised more than £260,000 by adding a charity donation at the till – and store colleagues will be encouraging even more customers to start the giving habit during Micro-Donation Week, which runs until Sunday 6th September.

Majestic will host its annual Charity Golf Day on Thursday 8th October, while colleagues will also tackle a host of personal challenges in support of the Foundation and its three national charity partners: The Brain Tumour Charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and Child Bereavement UK – all of which were nominated by Majestic colleagues.

One of Majestic’s key producer partners, Felix Solis, has already pledged to donate £10,000 to the campaign to mark the 10th birthday of The Guv’nor – Majestic’s best-selling red wine. And Majestic is now urging as many customers and producers as possible to complete their own Small Majestic Acts during the next six weeks, to help make a huge difference to families in need across the UK.

The fundraising campaign comes a year after Majestic celebrated its 45th birthday with its epic Majestic Miles challenge. Colleagues covered a combined total of 45,000 miles in the space of just 45 days by walking, running, hiking, cycling, rowing, kayaking and roller blading across all four corners of the country. Majestic has a long and proud history of philanthropy, having raised more than £1million for charity prior to the launch of the Majestic Charitable Foundation in 2024.

Jacqui Rouse, group people director at Majestic Wine Group and Trustee of the Majestic Charitable Foundation, said: “Our colleagues are incredibly passionate about supporting causes close to their hearts, and so we’re all really excited to get started with this year’s dedicated fundraising campaign.

“Times are tough for a lot of people right now, but thousands of Small Majestic Acts from our friends, family, colleagues, customers and suppliers over the next few weeks can add up to make a massive difference for our incredible charity partners. Whether it’s something as little as adding a 25p charity donation when you pay by card in a Majestic store, donating to our Just Giving page, or running a marathon, the support of the Majestic family will help us have a huge impact in the communities we serve.”
