The ‘Scream Tea’ Hamper giving Halloween a Cornish twist

The Cornish Company,Searches for ‘Halloween party ideas’ have spiked by 67% on Pinterest Trends over the last 30 days, proving that Brits are getting into the spooky spirit earlier than ever. But beyond trick-or-treats and plastic cobwebs, Halloween is evolving into a full season of hosting, cosy nights in and treats worth sharing

Leading the charge is The Cornish Company, serving up a spooky twist on a West Country classic: cream tea. Their limited-edition 2026 Halloween hampers swap summer gardens for candlelight and carved pumpkins, turning the great British cream tea into a moment to gather round the table this October, all while settling the inevitable debate over how to properly serve a scone (jam first, always… even when it’s bat-shaped).

Tom Woodley, managing director & co-founder at The Cornish Company, says: “A cream tea is one of the most comforting things you can put on a table, and the colder months are when people want comfort most. This year, we wanted to have a bit of fun with the season.

“Whether you’re celebrating Halloween get-togethers, a half-term afternoon with the kids, or a quiet night under a blanket, these hampers are built  to share with the people you love.”

The Cornish Company has curated a guide  matching the hamper to the household:

The Halloween Host

For the one who has their pumpkins carved by mid-October and loves throwing a great spooky season party. They want a centrepiece that gets people talking, not another bowl of supermarket sweets. The Scream Tea Hamper is their perfect match, with bat-shaped scones, jams, a pot of proper Cornish clotted cream, and tea for four. Spooky season, served jam first.

The Half-Term Hero

For the parent with a week of October half-term to fill and a strict ‘no more screen time’ policy. A plate of Iced Pumpkin Biscuits is an activity and a treat in one. The kids get to enjoy some pumpkin carving or painting while also enjoying pumpkin-themed snacks, and everyone gets to sit down together for once. It’s the ultimate rainy-day rescue, no fancy dress required.

The Pumpkin Spice Devotee

For the one who has been counting down to pumpkin spice season since August. They have the candle lit, the cosy jumper on, and the seasonal latte order memorised. The Pumpkin Spiced Cream Tea Hamper is made for them, pairing four pumpkin-spiced scones with salted caramel, Cornish clotted cream, bonbons and a pumpkin biscuit. It’s autumn in a box.

The Cosy Night-In Fan

For those who prefer a savoury twist to their dark evenings, the ‘BOO’ Cornish Steak Pasty brings proper Cornish comfort straight to the sofa. Freshly baked and stamped with a seasonal ‘BOO’, it’s the ultimate warm-up after a crisp autumn walk.

Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party or sending a cosy autumn treat, The Cornish Company is ensuring this season is packed with treats, not tricks. These limited-edition Halloween hampers are available to order online with free next-day delivery, ensuring your treats arrive as fresh as a Cornish breeze.
