Creative Cornish clothing brand Seasalt partners with Reskinned, the sustainable pre-loved clothing repair and resale specialist

Creative Cornish clothing brand Seasalt is pleased to announce a new partnership with Reskinned, the sustainable pre-loved clothing repair and resale specialist.  The partnership will enable customers to return pre-loved clothing, in any condition, to be rehomed or otherwise responsibly recycled, and receive a voucher for money off their next Seasalt purchase.

The scheme aims to maximise the life of Seasalt garments whilst reducing clothing waste – making the process easier for everyone. It will give customers the opportunity to uncover pre-loved treasures and give garments a second life, avoiding them being sent to landfill.  Seasalt will begin re-selling clothing via Reskinned later this year.

Reskinned works with over 20 leading brands including Sweaty Betty, SKINS Compression, Joules and Finisterre. It provides a simple end-to-end solution to handle takeback, re-commerce and end-of-life recycling.  Through resale, repair and innovative recycling, they’re realising a more sustainable fashion future, helping shoppers make choices that are good for the planet whilst making shopping pre-loved clothing as enjoyable and easy as buying new.

Paul Hayes, CEO at Seasalt, said: “We’re working hard to reduce our impact on the environment so we are delighted to announce this partnership with Reskinned who are leaders in the circular fashion economy.  Seasalt garments are high quality and made to love and last, but this will offer a convenient service for customers to trade items they’ve loved for a long time in a sustainable way.  We are big believers in supporting positive change and this partnership is another step forward to Seasalt reaching its sustainability goals – I’m very much looking forward to seeing a successful partnership and how far it can grow in the years ahead.”

Matt Hanrahan, Co-Founder of Reskinned, said: “At Reskinned it’s our mission to maximise the lifespan of clothing. We’re making it easy for brands and their customers to rehome unwanted clothes, whether that’s reselling, repairing or if it’s end-of-life recycling it responsibly. We’re determined to create a more sustainable clothing future for us all.”

Seasalt is committed to ambitious sustainability targets.  These include increasing the use of certified sustainable materials in its products year on year, transitioning to become a Carbon Net Zero business by 2040, and working with trusted partners – like Reskinned – who support its commitment to making responsible choices for people and the environment.
