Naturally Fast Food restaurant LEON is set to launch two new tasty rice pots onto its All Day
menu. The two rice pots BBQ Chicken and classic Black Bean Chilli celebrate iconic LEON flavours
whilst providing an accessible option for guests on the go.

The rice pots debut as part of a new value focussed deal. From the 15th of February, guests can
grab a LEON Rice Pot and drink for just £3.99.

Big on taste and value, the introduction of the two new rice pots is a response to changing guest
needs. LEON conducted a survey back in April 2022, which asked almost 7,000 guests about
their out-of-home habits and how they’ve changed in the past 12 months, 30% of them said
they’re on a stricter budget. Given this survey was prior to the widely reported Cost of Living

Crisis, LEON now expects the percentage to now even higher. The launch of the rice pots follows a
six-month trial across 10 LEON restaurants around the country, savvy guests at Bluewater,
Carnaby and King’s Road restaurants have already put their stamp of approval on the combo.

LEON rice boxes are a hero category among guests and the backbone of the LEON menu, they
have been on the LEON menu since the restaurant launched in 2004. The two new rice pots
introduce more menu accessibility and aim to remove purchase barriers around this hero
category.

In the BBQ Chicken Pot (from £3.49), find chargrilled chicken thigh with creamy garlic aioli &
barbecue sauce, topped with mint and parsley, all served on Italian brown rice. LEON’s classic
Black Bean Chilli Pot (from £2.99) is a vegan take on the traditional Brazilian feijoada. Find slowly
simmered black beans, carrots and onions spiced with sweet and smoked paprika and oregano
served on Italian brown rice.

Stay hydrated and enjoy a rice pot alongside a drink; included in the £3.99 deal are Karma Drinks
regular-size draft soda or can, Dash Water, Trip CBD Infusions or LEON bottled still or sparkling
water.

Glenn Edwards, managing director of LEON Restaurants, said: “LEON is committed to its founding mission that our food should taste good, do you good and be kind to the planet. We always aim to serve naturally fast food made with the best quality ingredients for the most reasonable price, and the launch of the rice pots deal is another way to ensure this. We will continue to check in with our valued guests and respond to their feedback as
it will only help us to bring accessible, well-loved dishes and innovations to our menu.”

LEON appreciates its guests have tighter budgets as does the rest of the UK, elsewhere on the
menu, accessibility remains a strong theme. For breakfast, LEON has retained its value-driven
dishes such as Saucy Beans Poached Egg Pot for under £2 and a breakfast meal deal starting
from £3.99.

The rice pots and £3.99 meal deal are available in all LEON restaurants from the 15th of
February 2023; however, the £3.99 meal deal is unavailable at franchise partners across travel
hubs and service stations.
