A Leeds-based food and catering brand operating from, and owned by, Abu Bakr Supermarket stores across Leeds is set to showcase the region’s growing strength in premium service industries after securing a high-profile commission for London Fashion Week this September.
Food 2 Go, the in-store catering brand of Abu Bakr Supermarket, has been commissioned by Doors 2 Floors.co.uk to provide catering for models participating in a major catwalk event, placing the business at the heart of one of the fashion world’s most internationally recognised platforms.
In addition to this commission, Food 2 Go will also be catering for a number of other premium fashion brands involved in London Fashion Week. However, due to ongoing non-disclosure agreements, further details of these partnerships cannot be announced at this stage.
With London Fashion Week attracting global media, designers and industry leaders, the collaboration marks a significant moment not only for the company’s expanding presence in high-end, specialist services, but also for Yorkshire’s growing reputation within premium event delivery on an international stage.
Hamza Hussain, managing director of Abu Bakr Supermarket, said the opportunity reflects both the company’s standards and wider regional ambition.
“We are proud to represent Yorkshire on such a prestigious stage. This is a global event, and being commissioned highlights the quality and professionalism we deliver. Our focus is on providing food that supports performance while maintaining exceptional standards.”
The company has been selected for its reputation for quality and its ability to design menus tailored to demanding environments, with meals created to support energy, wellbeing and consistency during the fast-paced nature of runway shows.
Ismaeel Basar, managing director of Doors2Floors.co.uk said attention to detail was key in the appointment.
“At this level, every element must meet a high standard. Food 2 Go demonstrates not only quality but a clear understanding of the requirements within a fashion environment. We are confident they will play an important role in delivering a successful catwalk element of the event.”
It has also been confirmed, Abu Bakr Supermarket Director, Sajid Hussain, will don the Catwalk for a renowned fashion brand and showcase a bespoke suit.
With London Fashion Week attracting international attention, the collaboration places Yorkshire businesses firmly on the global stage—underlining the region’s growing influence and capability within premium service industries.
