Asda Perfect for Brits who are eager for that first festive mouthful, Asda has announced its 2024 Christmas sandwich line-up, with two new flavours forming an eight-strong range.

Keen shoppers can choose from traditional staples or tap into on-trend flavours, with luxury breads, sauces and seasonings to enjoy. With prices starting at just £2.50, all sandwiches are included in the three-for-two meal deal at Asda Food To Go shelves and online.

NEW FOR 2024

The new, standout product for 2024 is the Let It Spice Festive Curry Wrap (£3.00), a delicious grill marked tortilla with succulent chicken breast, winter-spiced slaw, cranberry chutney, sweet and mildly spiced curry sauce – offering customers a taste of Christmas, with a warming, spicy twist.

Kathryn Saveall, product manager of Christmas sandwiches, says: “The curry wrap is all about tapping into the typical trend of creating a curry with Christmas leftovers, so if you’re fed up of the traditional roast turkey & trimmings, then the new curry wrap is for you!”

Where there’s Christmas, there’s cheese! Another new addition is the Christmas Club Sandwich (£3.35), a scrummy mature Cheddar & Bacon onion sandwich with added chicken breast, cranberry chutney, beechwood smoked bacon, pork, sage and onion stuffing and finished with chicken stock paste – it’s Christmas in a (sandwich) box.

“A Chicken & Bacon Club is always a popular choice for Brits throughout the year, so Asda’s new Christmas Club Sandwich offers a festive twist on an already firm favourite – which we’re really excited about” says Kathryn.

Returning favourites – with a few added extras!

For those who love a “leftovers” sarnie – Asda’s Boxing Day Sandwich (£2.50), with chicken (replacing turkey breast seen in Asda’s 2023 line-up), oak smoked ham with a spoonful of creamy coleslaw and balsamic onion chutney on white bread – is the mix and match of dreams.

Other customer favourites include the classic Hog Roast Sandwich (£3.00) with even more Bramley apple sauce than 2023, seasoned mayo, stuffing and fried onions, and the Festive Feast Duo Wrap (£3.00), with turkey breast and tender sausages with smoked bacon, stuffing, gravy mayo and a spread of cranberry chutney.

Festive classics

The new and improved lines join the classic Prawn Cocktail Sandwich (£3.00), the Festive Feast Sandwich (£3.00) and the 2024 Good Housekeeping Approved veggie Brie & Cranberry Festive Sandwich (£2.50) – now in new festive packaging.

For shoppers who dish up their festive subs at home, Asda urges customers to try the Exceptional Cranberry Sauce (£3.00) as a filling, a winner of ‘Best Sauce/Condiment’ in the 2024 Woman & Home Festive Food Awards.

To make an on-the-go lunch that extra festive, shoppers can snap up a singular Asda Single Mince Pie (£1.25) as a snack as part of the meal deal.

Last year, Asda sold over 700,000 Christmas Sandwiches over the festive period, with the Festive Feast Sandwich topping the leader boards as the best seller.

“In the lead up to the big day, we know that the festive sandwich is a popular staple for our shoppers – so we’re excited to bring even more variety to our customers for 2024!”

All sandwiches, starting at £2.50, are available in stores and online now, and form part of the three-for-two meal deal at Asda Food To Go shelves.
