Greggs Christmas Menu returns to shops, including Festive and Vegan Festive Bakes

Greggs Christmas MenuGreggs’ eagerly anticipated Christmas menu returns to shops nationwide today, with a host of iconic fan favourites back for the festive season, alongside some brand-new treats.

From today fans can once again indulge in the flakey goodness that is the Festive Bake. The iconic pastry, which is filled with pieces of chicken, sage & onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon, covered in a creamy sage & cranberry sauce, is certain to provide all the Christmas feels. And in a move that’s expected to delight vegans and veggies across the UK, the Vegan Festive Bake will make a return to shops tomorrow (Friday 8th November), which customers have longed for since its short hiatus from the menu last year.

This year there’s an extra reason to celebrate the returning bakes. Greggs App customers who purchase a Festive Bake or Vegan Festive Bake from today until Thursday 14th November will receive a free 500ml bottle of Coke Zero or Diet Coke. The free drink will be automatically applied to their Greggs account from Friday 15th November and customers will have 30 days to redeem their free fizzy goodness to keep them fuelled for Christmas.

Returning to the menu alongside the much-loved Festive Bake will be the Christmas Lunch Baguette, featuring everything to love about a Christmas roast. Meanwhile the all-new Festive Flatbread has also launched – a soft and warm flatbread stuffed with sage & onion style chicken mayo, sweetcure bacon and a tangy cranberry & red onion relish.

Alongside the moreish savoury treats, a festively flavoured range of hot drinks will be on offer throughout the season. The brand-new Gingerbread Latte (also available over ice) and Gingerbread Flat White are new to the 2024 line-up, whilst the Mint Hot Chocolate and Mint Mocha will return to the menu alongside the Orange Hot Chocolate and Mocha.

For customers looking for a Christmassy sweet treat, the brand-new Toffee Fudge Muffin and Chocolate & Hazelnut Flavour Doughnut are the perfect pick-me-up, with further sweet treats set to be added to the Christmas menu in the coming weeks.

The menu announcement follows a buzz of excitement after Greggs launched its first Christmas ad with culinary icon, Nigella Lawson, earlier this week. The domestic goddess indulged in the delicious festive Bake, describing it as a “rapturous riot of flavour” with “succulent filling” as she took the first bite of the eagerly anticipated festive favourite.

The ad became a fast hit on social media, with fans commenting: “Move over Mariah, Nigella is now the queen of Christmas”, “the most iconic ad I’ve ever seen” and “Nigella and Greggs, the best 2 words in the English language.”

Speaking of her love of Greggs, Nigella commented: “As a longtime fan of Greggs, and especially their Sausage Rolls, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them to celebrate the return of the iconic Christmas menu. Greggs brings joy wherever and whenever you choose to enjoy it,  and I’m delighted to be sharing this with the nation this Christmas.”

All of the festive menu items are available via Click+Collect on the Greggs App, which is free to download and gives access to a variety of tasty rewards, including the refreshing Coke Zero and Diet Coke offer. For every nine purchases in different categories – from hot drinks, to sandwiches to bakes to sweet treats – app users can get one completely free.

New users of the Greggs App also receive a free hot drink of their choice upon registration, as well as a free sweet treat to celebrate their birthday each year.
