BON CHARGE expands oral care range with new red light toothbrush charging travel case

Premium wellness technology brand, BON CHARGE™, has today announced its new Red Light Toothbrush Charging Travel Case (RRP: £54.99). Created as the perfect travel companion to the brand’s award-winning Red Light Toothbrush, the new case makes red light oral technology effortlessly portable without compromising on daily wellness routines.

Designed in the brand’s signature black and red colourway, it is smartly engineered in a sleek but rigid protective case that charges the toothbrush when stored and holds 2 brush heads. It fully charges the toothbrush in 2 to 8 hours, providing up to four weeks of twice-daily, 2-minute use per charge, making it ideal for health-conscious and travel-minded wellness enthusiasts.

The case supports the Red Light Toothbrush which was the first toothbrush that exclusively focused on red light, near-infrared, and sonic technology at the same time. The Toothbrush combines high-frequency sonic vibration with the most studied wavelengths for targeted benefits with 660nm red and 830nm near-infrared light, alongside four cleaning modes to suit your specific needs for an effective at-home deep clean or gentle gum stimulation. Red light and near infrared light at these wavelengths can support gum cell viability and healthy cellular responses.1

Emerging research in dentistry is exploring how photobiomodulation, the use of red and near-infrared light, may support cellular processes involved in oral tissue health. A 2025 review reported that this form of light exposure may interact with mitochondria, the energy-producing structures within cells, and influence signalling pathways linked to inflammation and tissue response.2 While further high-quality clinical research is still needed, photobiomodulation is being investigated for its potential to support gum health, oral mucosal comfort and recovery following dental procedures.

As more explore peroxide-based whitening and other cosmetic approaches to oral care, there is growing interest in supporting the health of the mouth and gums, alongside appearance. The BON CHARGE Global Wellness Tech Trend Report 2026 surveyed 2,000 Brits and found that out of the top reported benefits for red light therapy, 13% reported specifically that red light had helped with gum irritation.3

BON CHARGE is guided in product innovation by its Scientific Advisory Board consisting of leading voices in performance, integrative medicine and longevity. This includes biological dentist and wellness innovator, Dr Seb Lomas, who advises on the intersection of red light therapy, oral health, and recovery, to support overall health from the inside out.

Dr Seb Lomas, commented:  “Oral and gum health are important because they influence breathing, inflammatory response and immune resilience. These factors can affect blood sugar balance and surprisingly to many fitness addicts, speed of recovery from training.

Caring for the soft tissue is just as important as the teeth themselves. Red light technology offers a gentle, non-invasive way to support mitochondrial function and healthy cellular responses in gum tissues.

The launch of the BON CHARGE Red Light Toothbrush Charging Travel Case provides the next step towards taking a proactive approach to overall oral health. If you are constantly on the move, it supports the oral environment in a more holistic way, without adding complexity to routines.”

A 2026 Oral B survey of 2,000 Brits found 35% avoided smiling due to self-consciousness and oral health is deprioritised compared with other health habits, as healthy eating (52%) and exercise (47%) supersede looking after teeth and gums (37%).4 These findings highlight a disconnect between fitness-focused lifestyles, despite the relationship between oral health and recovery.

With modern life disrupting biology, the Red Light Toothbrush Charging Travel Case was designed for frequent travellers, commuters and anyone looking to keep their oral wellness routine consistent away from home.
