Boursin®Boursin® is set to bring further excitement to the indulgent cheese category this autumn with the launch of new limited-edition Boursin® Hot Honey & Roasted Garlic, combining one of the food industry’s hottest flavour trends with the brand’s signature creamy and indulgent cheese.
Landing in stores from 16th September, the new 150g SKU combines sweet honey and warming chilli with rich roasted garlic, creating a sweet and spicy flavour profile designed to tap into growing consumer appetite for bold and adventurous flavour combinations.
The launch comes as Boursin® continues to deliver strong momentum within indulgent cheese. As the UK’s No.1 indulgent cheese brand, Boursin® ranks as the No.1 contributor to both value and volume growth year to date, with sales up +12.3% in value and +14.6% in volume.
It also lands ahead of the crucial autumn and festive trading period, with almost 30% of annual indulgent cheese sales taking place in the final eight weeks of the year, presenting a significant opportunity for retailers to drive incremental sales through flavour-led innovation and premium sharing and entertaining occasions.
Hot Honey & Roasted Garlic has been developed with these occasions front of mind, offering shoppers a contemporary twist on the classic cheeseboard and sharing spread. Perfect for serving alongside crackers and warm, crusty bread, the new flavour is ideally placed to take centre stage across grazing, sharing and entertaining occasions, with its versatility also extending into recipes, giving shoppers even more reasons to buy into the brand across the autumn and festive period.
Ollie Richmond, marketing manager at Boursin®, said: “Boursin is continuing to drive strong growth within indulgent cheese, with double-digit value and volume growth year to date, and innovation remains a really important part of how we continue to bring excitement to the category and give shoppers new reasons to buy into the brand.
“Hot honey is a flavour combination that has gained significant momentum, so we saw a clear opportunity to bring that sweet-meets-heat profile into indulgent cheese in a way that feels unmistakably Boursin. Combining sweet honey and warming chilli with roasted garlic and our signature creamy texture gives shoppers something genuinely different, while remaining incredibly versatile across the sharing and entertaining occasions where we know Boursin performs so strongly.”
The launch will form part of a strong pipeline of innovation from Boursin® as the brand heads into the key Christmas trading period, alongside new seasonal formats and limited-edition festive packaging designed to drive standout both on shelf and at the table.
