B&Q has announced the opening of its new 41,000 square foot store in Altrincham, the first of eight Homebase stores acquired earlier this year. Located at Altrincham Retail Park, George Richards Way, WA14 5GR, the store will offer a wide range of home improvement essentials and services to local customers.
Key Details:
- The store will employ 38 colleagues, including 19 who have transferred from Homebase and 19 newly recruited roles.
- There will be over 16,000 home improvement products available in-store, with a dedicated TradePoint counter for trade professionals and timber cutting and Valspar paint mixing services.
- The store will feature a garden centre with outdoor plants and gardening equipment.
- Click and collect will be available from as little as 15 minutes as well as next day click and collect for thousands more products.
- Ahead of the opening, B&Q colleagues volunteered with The Counselling & Family Centre, a local mental health and well-being charity, as part of B&Q’s Community Days programme.
- Volunteers transformed the charity’s allotment space by planting new bedding plants, painting an existing shed, installing a new shed, and paving an area to improve accessibility.
