Moonpig, the global greeting card, gift and flower company, has shot an eye-catching Father’s Day campaign in record time using automated photography at Capture Studios.

Moonpig were blown away by Capture Studios’ capacity to deliver high quality film and photography assets, quickly, consistently and cost effectively, utilising the speed and efficiency of automated photography to deliver a high volume of content in just three days.

Across the dynamic shoot, Moonpig shot 538 individual photographic assets, 61 video assets and 43 lifestyle assets to promote 224 gift products on its website from alcoholic beverages to cuddly toys to chocolates.

Using the speed and efficiency of automated photography, Moonpig were able to produce huge volumes of live and still content at pace, compared to a handful per day during a traditional shoot, accelerating high-volume content production for e-commerce campaigns.

Filmed in Capture’s three bespoke automated photography and video studios, the shoot combined creativity with tech expertise, giving Moonpig an environment with unrivalled consistency between shots across live motion and stills, with controlled lighting and speed to bring their products to life on the website.

Moonpig is the latest in a string of new brands to use Capture Studios, adding to recent high-profile shoots from UB40 and Myleene Klass.

Erica Tain, senior buyer – Gifting at Moonpig, commented: “Capture Studios exceeded our expectations in terms of the speed and quality of content production, bringing our creative brief to life in just three days with eye-catching automated photography across our gift products. The consistency and efficiency of automated photography allowed us to deliver a huge volume of content in a matter of days, allowing us to turn around the campaign quickly with the help of Capture’s on-site experts.

Following the Father’s Day shoot, Moonpig has awarded a second brief to be shot at Capture Studios for a further range of products to better improve the gift-giving experience for e-commerce customers.

Phil Burroughes, MD of Capture and Innovation at Capture Studios, said: “It is amazing to work with major brands like Moonpig to deliver heart-warming campaigns that impact millions of people. Capture Studios combines cutting-edge technology with a team of creative experts, helping to deliver more agile content at unprecedented speed. Making use of our studios, two for products and one for models, with dressing rooms, stylists and a prop shop all on-site frees up creative teams to focus on what they do best – be creative and produce eye-catching content at speed.“
