Deliveroo - Retailer NewsDeliveroo has launched a new exclusive subscription service, Plus Diamond. Plus Diamond members will receive priority delivery on every order and an on-time delivery guarantee giving customers the full order value back as credit if it arrives more than 10 minutes late. Plus Diamond members will also have a direct line to a dedicated Diamond customer care team, an elevated in-app user experience to discover the best selection and will receive 10% of their basket total back in Deliveroo credit on orders over £30.

The premium service will also give customers access to exclusive partners reserved only for those with Plus Diamond membership. This includes Vori, Lavo, IZAKAYA at Dreams, Min Jiang, Hedonism Wines, and The Black Farmer, with further exclusive partnerships to be announced shortly.

Diamond members will also be invited to a calendar of food events, connecting like-minded foodies to unforgettable experiences. Subscribers will have access to discounted tickets for table&candle and Sessions Live events as well as Diamond Only events hosted by experiences platform Sera, such as an exclusive evening with renowned chef John Javier, as well as pasta-making classes led by expert Italian chefs at Pasta Evangelists.

Deliveroo also announced improved benefits for Plus Gold members this month, giving customers even more value, an improved service and exclusive perks. This includes 10% credit back on every eligible order over £30, special discounts, offers and free items from their local favourites, and the option to claim £5 back as credit if their order arrives later than expected.

Deliveroo was the first to introduce a loyalty program in the industry in 2017 and is aiming to become a Plus-first business by 2026, with the majority of orders coming from Plus customers. With Plus members already spending three times as much as regular customers, twice as likely to try a restaurant that’s new to the platform, and twice as likely to top up their order with non-food products, the enhanced loyalty programme will play an important role in driving growth for Deliveroo.

Abi Horner, Product Director, Loyalty at Deliveroo said: “We know how central delivery is to the lifestyle of our top customers so we have designed Plus Diamond to enhance the areas that are most important to our highest frequency customers across selection, speed, care and more – delivering our best possible service. With priority delivery on every order, a very generous on time promise and a ring fenced care team, we believe that Plus Diamond is the strongest service proposition available in our industry.”

Will Shu, CEO of Deliveroo, said: “We’re very excited to launch our invite only loyalty programme, Plus Diamond. Diamond is our most exclusive subscription yet and provides our top customers with a whole host of fantastic benefits from premium delivery and a direct line to dedicated customer care agents, to credit back and bespoke events. Put simply, it will be the best way to get the most out of Deliveroo.”

The new Plus Diamond subscription will be invite-only to top Deliveroo customers, and costs £19.99 per month.
