Dior innovates supply chain logistics with Scandit and Hardis WMS

Scandit, the leader in smart data capture, and Hardis Supply Chain, a leading provider of supply chain software, have partnered with Dior to innovate its warehouse operations including optimization of its workflows with the addition of real-time insights.

Flawless fulfillment is key to Dior’s client experience. Scandit’s MatrixScan Count embedded into Hardis WMS (formerly Reflex WMS)  warehouse management software (WMS) ensures logistic chain reliability between warehouses and stores, which has reduced shipping control time by 85%. With MatrixScan Count, warehouse teams now capture multiple barcodes simultaneously through Dior’s Order Preparation app, enhancing operational efficiency. The data captured is verified in Hardis WMS and instant feedback appears on‑screen via augmented reality (AR), guiding warehouse operators with intuitive user interface gestures.

In addition, MatrixScan Find is deployed during the order preparation process in the warehouse and in-store price updates to easily locate the correct item via an AR overlay. Currently a manual process, this will increase workflow speed and accuracy for store associates.

With Scandit and Hardis WMS deployed on handheld computers, workers are empowered to automate a variety of other warehouse workflows including receiving on their existing devices. Damaged, poorly printed and even partially visible barcodes can be read which increases user productivity and streamlines day-to-day tasks thanks to Scandit’s AI-powered advanced barcode scanning.

“Dior’s vision demonstrates how smart data capture can revolutionize logistics,” commented Samuel Mueller, CEO & co‑founder, Scandit. “Our partnership with Dior and Hardis Supply Chain is an example of how artificial intelligence and augmented reality can be combined to give frontline workers real-time insights, enhance legacy operational processes and create true supply chain innovation — all without the need for additional hardware infrastructure.”

“At Hardis, we integrate innovative technologies like Scandit’s to enhance both performance and user experience. The project with Dior is a perfect example of this approach: a technology partnership serving the operational excellence of a prestigious client,” said Florent Boizard, General Manager of Hardis Supply Chain.

Future plans aim to further accelerate the onboarding of new and temporary employees, such as during peak seasons, ensuring a friction-free experience, regardless of role, tenure and workflow. In addition, there are plans for MatrixScan Count to be deployed for inventory counting, and to duplicate the new Scandit solution in all Dior distribution centers that function with Hardis WMS worldwide.
