Dr. Wolff partners with THG Fulfil to drive UK & US direct-to-consumer growth

Dr. WolffTHG Fulfil, a leading provider of world-class technology-led, automation-driven fulfilment and courier management solutions, has partnered with Dr. Wolff Group, the fourth-generation German family business behind globally recognised beauty brands including Alpecin, Plantur, Linola and Vagisan.

The partnership spans both the UK and US markets and covers the full breadth of THG Fulfil’s capabilities – from Merchant of Record services to warehousing, Amazon FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon), FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) and SFP (Seller Fulfilled Prime) integrations, kitting and returns processing, D2C and B2B fulfilment, alongside courier management and customer services. Alpecin is now live across both markets, with further Dr. Wolff brands set to follow.

Dr. Wolff Group, headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany, operates in more than 60 countries. Selecting a fulfilment and digital commerce partner capable of managing simultaneous multi-channel growth across two competitive markets required more than standard warehousing expertise. Under the terms of the partnership, THG Fulfil acts as Merchant of Record (MoR) on Dr. Wolff’s Shopify sites in both the UK and the US, taking commercial accountability for payment processing, tax collection and remittance, pricing, promotions, refund management and billing. This MoR capability, delivered alongside core fulfilment on a single integrated platform, addresses a genuine gap in the market: the ability for global brands to sell direct-to-consumer across borders without absorbing the full commercial and regulatory complexity in-house.

THG Fulfil’s distribution centres in both the UK and US handle inbounding, storage, pick and pack, returns processing and Amazon FBA kitting for Dr. Wolff’s inventory. THG Fulfil integrates directly with Amazon to pull and fulfil Fulfilled by Merchant orders separately from Shopify volume, providing clean channel separation and accurate inventory management across both.

Across both markets, THG Fulfil manages the courier network for D2C delivery, drawing on integrations with over 250 courier services across 195 countries, alongside branded delivery communications and tracking. Customer service for the Shopify operations is also handled in full by THG Fulfil.

Tom Killeen, COO, THG Ingenuity said: “Dr. Wolff is exactly the kind of partner we built our proposition for. A globally recognised brand, growing across multiple markets and channels at the same time. What sets this partnership apart is the combination of our Merchant of Record capability alongside full-service fulfilment on a single platform. For brands with serious international ambitions that do not want to build out the commercial and operational infrastructure themselves, this is a compelling model. We are delighted to have Alpecin live in the UK and US and look forward to welcoming further Dr. Wolff brands onto the platform.”

Jonny Davys, general manager UK&I, Dr Wolff said: “This partnership with THG Fulfil opens up a brand new distribution channel in the UK and US, and we have no doubt it will be a huge success. It gives us a much closer view of who our consumers are, helping us build stronger, longer-lasting relationships. With THG Fulfil’s reliable, high-speed delivery and the capacity to scale, we are well-positioned to grow our D2C business over time.”

THG Fulfil’s infrastructure is supported by continued investment in warehouse automation and AI-driven fulfilment technology. With next-day cut-off times as late as 1am for same-day dispatch in the UK, the platform is built to deliver the speed and reliability that ecommerce demands.
