Drinks By The Dram relaunches tasting set collection with new packaging, expanded formats and updated line-ups

Drinks By The Dram has relaunched its core tasting set collection, unveiling 48 redesigned sets featuring new packaging, expanded formats, and entirely refreshed spirit line-ups.

Long established as a leading name in premium spirits gifting, Drinks By The Dram is doubling down on the booming gifting category following strong performance across its year-round and seasonal ranges. Despite wider market challenges, sales of its best-selling advent calendars nearly doubled year-on-year in 2024, signalling robust consumer appetite for premium discovery-led products.

Each tasting set contains curated 30ml glass, wax dipped samples of premium spirits, spanning whisky, rum, gin and more, presented in new sleek packaging that follows the same style as the advent calendars.

Existing themes such as The Regions of Scotland Whisky Tasting Set and Japanese Whisky Tasting Set return alongside new additions like New Whisky Releases: 12 Dram Tasting Set – which showcases the year’s most exciting releases, a Hebridean set and the high-end Premium Old & Rare Tasting Set. Significant changes to the format include:

  • Five-dram sets upgraded to six drams as standard

  • All-new spirits across the full collection

  • Newly designed, sturdier packaging aligned with the brand’s premium positioning

The revamped range also includes affordable occasion-led sets for events like Father’s Day, Happy Retirement and New Home.

Retail prices range from £19.95 to £274.95, with each set offering up to 40% saving compared to buying the included drams individually –  offering strong value for both consumers and retailers.

Adrian Lugg, head of marketing at Drinks By The Dram, commented: “Despite wider economic pressures, we’ve seen consistent demand for premium gifting experiences –  particularly in spirits. Seeing YoY growth in a challenging market clearly shows that consumers are still willing to invest in high-quality, thoughtful gifts that offer both value and discovery.

“There’s a huge amount of innovation happening across whisky and other spirits categories right now, and these tasting sets are a brilliant way for people to explore that without the commitment of buying a full bottle. This relaunch was about improving every element: the packaging, the liquids, customer value and the flexibility for retail and white label partners alike.”

In addition to the core collection, Drinks By The Dram is expanding its white label offering, enabling brands and retailers to co-create custom gifting sets. With low MOQs, full branding flexibility,
