Hotel Chocolat Eldon Square has announced that Hotel Chocolat, the luxury chocolatier, is set to open its latest concept store and Velvetiser Café on 30th November at the centre.

Stocking a wide range of Hotel Chocolat’s renowned premium chocolates, the 3,128 square foot store also offers a welcoming cafe space. The store represents Hotel Chocolat’s continued investment in luxury immersive experiences, allowing consumers to try the product and have a personalised customer service.

The new store will be home to the beloved Velvetiser Café, serving the iconic Velvetised™ drinking chocolate alongside other hot drinks. Guests can explore a wide range of combinations, choosing from 18 different flavours served hot, over ice, or as a Choc Shake. The drinks can be tailored with dairy milk or plant-based alternatives, along with an array of delicious toppings for that perfect personal touch.

For eager shoppers keen to get a first glimpse of the new store, Hotel Chocolat will be offering surprise and delight moments to customers who purchase on opening day, as well as 20% off the Velvetiser Cafe for VIP.ME members, the chocolatier’s member club, which is free to join.

Hotel Chocolat joins Eldon Square’s range of premium shopping brands, including John Lewis & Partners, All Saints and Fenwicks, making for an ideal location for shopping for the festive season and beyond.

Hotel Chocolat’s, omnichannel director, Frankie Haynes, commented: “We’re thrilled to bring the Hotel Chocolat experience to Eldon Square, Newcastle. Our new Velvetiser Café is designed to offer a relaxing space where people can enjoy our signature drinks and treats at a leisurely pace.”

“The Newcastle store marks another step in our expansion, and we’re excited to continue offering more of these delightful experiences across the country in the coming years.”

Matthew Beddow, senior director of asset management at Eldon Square, added: “The addition of Hotel Chocolat to Eldon Square is further evidence that our 2024 leasing strategy is proving to be a success. We are thrilled to continue to welcome market leading brands that add to our diverse retail and dining mix and have no doubt Hotel Chocolat will be enthusiastically met by Eldon Square shoppers.”
