Estrella Galicia unveils major UK campaign and a new 440 ml format as brand growth surges

Estrella GaliciaEstrella Galicia, Spain’s No.1 Preferred Beer Brand*, is set to make a bold statement in the UK with the launch of its evolved ‘We’re Made Different’ campaign and the introduction of a new can format in a major retailer in the UK.

Running across this October and November, Estrella Galicia’s investment in media and press will bring to life the brand’s distinctive origin from Galicia, situated in the north-west of Spain. The evolved ‘We’re Made Different’ campaign celebrates the region’s pride, the special craft values of tradition and difference of Estrella Galicia, and Galicia, and the untamed character of the beer that embodies them.

Estrella Galicia embraces its wild, authentic, and proudly Galician identity and philosophy. The campaign invites drinkers to ‘Follow the Flavour, Not the Crowd’, championing the brand’s flavour and brewing heritage.

The media plan will focus on UK-wide out-of-home (OOH) and London Underground placements, supported by a robust digital and social media push, designed to drive awareness and engagement across key UK markets.

New 440ml can format

Additionally, recognizing the importance of the at-home consumption occasion, which accounts for 55% of weekly drinkers across total alcohol (Kantar Alcovision Panel 2024), Estrella Galicia has launched a new 440ml can format in both 4-pack and 10-pack formats, now available exclusively in Tesco from October 2025.

Aitor de Artaza, international managing director of Corporación Hijos de Rivera, Estrella Galicia’s owner, declares: “Estrella Galicia continues to go from strength to strength in the UK, driven by a clear sense of identity, differentiation and an unwavering commitment to quality. The brand’s unique Galician heritage and flavour clearly resonates with today’s drinkers who are seeking authenticity and craftsmanship in their beer choices. Additionally, our launch in Tesco stores aims to drive trial and new consumption occasions beyond out of home drinking”.
