Evri Group, the UK’s premier parcel delivery company, today announces the launch of the first wave of its owned locker network in partnership with leading grocery retailer Tesco, alongside a major new nationwide partnership with Motor Fuel Group (MFG), the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator; the rollout includes 500 new locker locations at petrol stations across the UK.
Together, these partnerships will expand Evri’s network and provide millions of customers with more convenient ways to send, receive and return parcels.
Evri’s lockers will offer fast pick-up and drop-off, contact-free functionality, QR code access and print-at-locker capability, with this latest announcement building on Evri’s existing footprint of more than 11,000 ParcelShops and lockers across the UK, including services available in Post Office branches and Asda stores.
It follows the company’s announcement of a £50m investment to more than double its ParcelShop and locker estate by 2030.
Evri has partnered with smart-tech specialist Bloq.it on the development of these new lockers, commissioning at least 1,000 units, and unlike shared third-party lockers, these will be operated solely by the Yorkshire-based delivery firm.
And the rollout comes as consumer appetite for lockers continues to rise, with data from Evri revealing a 343% increase in locker usage since early 2025, alongside a 19% rise in parcel diversions to lockers.
Locker deliveries now play an important sustainability role too, with Evri’s 2024/25 data showing a 34% reduction in carbon emissions compared with standard courier delivery.
Liam Rogan, head of ParcelShop and locker network at Evri, said: “By partnering with Tesco and Motor Fuel Group in launching the first wave of our lockers, we’re reinforcing our commitment to a choice of quality delivery methods.
“Evri’s own data shows that customers value convenience when it comes to deliveries, so with Tesco stores and Motor Fuel Group forecourts at the heart of so many communities, there will be easy access to Evri services alongside filling up or picking up essentials.
“Together, these partnerships will provide shoppers with even more flexibility to send, receive, and return parcels in a way that suits them, reflecting how consumer behaviour is continuing to evolve.”
Tesco: launch of Evri’s newest locker network
The trial with Tesco will see the first wave of new Evri-branded lockers installed at a small number of Tesco Extra and Superstore locations across the UK, building on their existing Tesco Clubcard partnership, which lets customers earn points on every parcel they send through Evri, with one point per £1 spent.
Tesco strategic partnership team, said: “We’re constantly looking for ways to make the shopping trip even more convenient for our customers, and as part of a small locker hub partner trial across a small number of stores, where we are bringing a number of providers together, we’re pleased to introduce Evri lockers across a selected small number of stores.”
Motor Fuel Group: 500 new locker locations
Evri is also partnering with MFG to install 500 new lockers at forecourts across the UK, with the rollout beginning this month and continuing through spring.
Many locations include on-site retail brands such as Morrisons Daily, Subway and Starbucks, giving customers the opportunity to send, collect and return parcels while going about their daily routines.
All MFG lockers will support Evri’s full range of services, including returns and print-at-locker functionality for self-adhesive labels, while MFG’s widespread presence across both urban and rural areas will significantly extend reach and accessibility.
A Motor Fuel Group spokesperson said: “With the rollout of Evri’s lockers across 500 Motor Fuel Group sites, this new partnership brings together two brands focused on everyday convenience.
“Together we’re able to give customers greater flexibility to send, collect and return parcels as part of their regular routines, while enhancing the role our forecourts play in local communities and adding real value for our retail partners.”
