Aldi Scotland is set to bring a Scottish twist to festive dining this Christmas, with a range of unique Specialbuy products available exclusively at its 107 stores.
Headlining the range is a Pigs in Blankets Scotch Pie (£2.99), a limited-edition delight that combines two beloved classics for an unforgettable festive flavour. Marrying two iconic comfort foods, the speciality creation features tender, seasoned sausage wrapped in crispy bacon, encased into a traditional, flaky Scotch pie shell.
The pie, which will be exclusively stocked by Aldi Scotland, is made by Glasgow-based Pars Foods. The wholesaler manufacturer made its first step into retail with Aldi earlier this year, when it launched its popular kebab pies to coincide with the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.
More than 4,000 Pigs in Blankets Scotch pies will be landing in all of Aldi’s Scottish stores from December.
“We’re always looking to bring unique, high-quality products to our customers at an affordable price,” said Graham Nicolson, group buying director, Aldi Scotland. “Our exclusive Pigs in Blankets Scotch Pie provides a delicious twist on a festive classic, and we can’t wait for our shoppers to try it.”
Scots can also fill up on other Scottish-exclusive hearty and satisfying selections, including:
  • Pars Foods Marinara Meatball Pie (£2.79, available now) – juicy, seasoned meatballs paired with a robust marinara sauce, nestled in a golden, flaky pie crust.
  • Short Rib Macaroni Cheese (£3.29, on sale 21 November) – a luxurious twist on a family favourite, featuring tender short rib blended with creamy, rich macaroni cheese.
  • Macpherson’s Festive Beef Olives (£3.99, on sale 28 November and 5 December) – succulent beef wrapped around a flavourful stuffing – apple, sage and onion or apple and cranberry – providing a taste of tradition and comfort.
Graham continued: “At Aldi Scotland, we take great pride in championing Scottish produce, especially during the festive season when families come together to celebrate.
“Our Scottish Christmas products showcase our dedication to delivering high-quality, festive foods available at an affordable price.”
