Fruit snacking brand BEAR launches new, bigger pack formats

BEARBEAR, the UK’s number one brand in Kids’ Fruit Snacking, is expanding its range with new larger pack formats, designed to give families more of what they love, in one easy grab.

New 9-pack formats are being introduced for BEAR Raspberry Yoyos and Strawberry & Apple Fruit Splits, marking the first time Fruit Splits will be available in a bigger format. Made with 100% fruit, with no added sugar and counting as one of your five-a-day, the new packs build on BEAR’s core promise of delivering healthier snacks that families can feel good about.

Landing on shelves from now, the new bigger packs are designed to support busy families across key kids’ snacking occasions, including Back to School, by reducing the need for frequent top-up shops. At the same time, the launches will help retailers drive bigger basket spend and increase fixture value.

Stephanie Armstrong, marketing manager at BEAR, says: “Parents want snacks they feel good about giving their cubs, and that kids actually get excited to eat. At the same time, they’re looking for options that make life easier, whether that’s cutting down on top-up shops or keeping cupboards stocked for longer. That’s exactly where our new, bigger BEAR packs come in.

“We’re already seeing shoppers buy multiple packs at once, so we recognise a clear growth opportunity by bringing even more bigger packs of Yoyos and Fruit Splits to the fixture. It’s about helping families stay stocked up longer while navigating busy lives with their cubs.”

Bigger formats are already proving popular on the kids’ fruit snacking fixture. BEAR’s existing 9-packs, including Strawberry and Mango Yoyos, are growing +7.6% year-on-year. Meanwhile, Raspberry Yoyos continues to perform as the brand’s second bestselling Yoyos multipack, while Strawberry & Apple Fruit Splits is up +15.9% year-on-year. Shoppers are also buying more often, with over one in five BEAR 9-pack shoppers picking up multiple packs each month.

Armstrong concludes: “Value is front of mind for families right now, and we know shoppers are looking for ways to make their money go further without compromising on quality. By offering bigger packs, we’re giving parents a solution that delivers on both – more of what their cubs love, in a format that helps stretch the weekly shop that little bit further.”

BEAR Raspberry Yoyos 9-pack (9 x 20g) and BEAR Strawberry & Apple Fruit Splits 9-pack (9 x 20g) will be available across Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado, with Sainsbury’s rolling out the Raspberry Yoyos 9-pack from April and Fruit Splits 9-pack from September, RRP £4.65.
