Gulf partners with myAutomate to deliver FuelSense platform and Fuel Finder compliance for dealers

GulfGulf Retail has announced it will provide access for its dealer network to FuelSense, a pricing and compliance platform developed by myAutomate, which amongst a variety of features also ensures Gulf sites are fully compliant with the UK’s new Fuel Finder fuel price reporting requirements.

The move underlines Gulf’s commitment to supporting independent retailers through regulatory change while equipping them with powerful, data-driven pricing tools.

An evolution of myAutomate’s award winning PricePro product for Gulf, the introduction of FuelSense is indicative of Gulf’s ongoing partnership with myAutomate and the important role they play in delivering essential pricing visibility and insight to UK forecourts.

This includes supporting retailers through the transition of legacy market pricing services, ensuring continuity of competitor price visibility and actionable market intelligence.

Uniquely positioned as the only UK solution to combine real-time retail pricing data and wholesale fuel market movements with direct insights into motorist behaviour and sentiment.

Drawing on myAutomate’s ownership of Portland Pricing for wholesale oil market intelligence and the UK’s largest consumer fuel app, PetrolPrices, used by more than three million drivers nationwide, the platform brings these complementary data sets together within a single, integrated solution for forecourt retailers.

Supporting dealers through compliance and beyond

Under the new UK Fuel Finder scheme, forecourts must submit pump prices within 30 minutes of the change. Recognising the cost, operational and technical implications for independent dealers, FuelSense with Gulf, allows dealers to submit price changes to the Fuel Finder scheme, helping dealers meet regulatory obligations quickly and accurately, while also providing enhanced pricing intelligence and competitive benchmarking tools.

Built on trusted pricing data heritage

myAutomate previously stepped in to continue essential pricing services for retailers after the transition of the Experian Catalist PriceViewer service, ensuring continuity of competitor price visibility and market insights for UK forecourts.

By expanding these capabilities into a modern, automated compliance-ready platform, FuelSense provides retailers with a future-proof solution that aligns regulatory reporting with day-to-day pricing strategy.

Delivering smarter pricing and operational efficiency

Through FuelSense, Gulf dealers will benefit from:

  • Compliant price reporting to Fuel Finder
  • Real-time competitive price benchmarking and insights
  • Centralised dashboards to simplify price management

The platform enables retailers not only to comply with new rules but to make faster, more informed pricing decisions in a rapidly evolving retail fuel market.

“As a customer-first business we are committed to providing our nationwide network of Gulf dealers with the tools and resources to provide the very best customer experience. FuelSense will offer ‘in the moment’ data, enabling our dealers to track and respond quickly to market changes – ensuring pricing is always in-line with the Government’s recent fuel pricing legislation.

“Always looking to evolve and improve our offer at Gulf, we are confident that FuelSense will be welcomed by our dealers,” said Jenny Lockwood, head of retail dealer, Certas Energy UK Limited. “FuelSense is a natural evolution of our work with Gulf, as well as with the many retailers who use our competitor pricing services. Its development has been driven by direct feedback from our clients and partners – a testament to the strong relationships we’ve built with retailers.

By bringing together all our trusted data sources across wholesale and retail pricing plus consumer behaviour, FuelSense enables retailers to make informed data driven decisions.”
