The partnership will see Hobbycraft share knowledge and expertise across an ever-expanding variety of crafts and encourage younger generations to adopt new crafts and hobbies, while also sponsoring a Beaver Scout Activity Badge.
The Scouts is the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation offering 4 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others make positive impact in communities. The Scouts develop life skills for youth members to take away for future life whilst adventuring in the great outdoors.
As part of the new partnership, Hobbycraft will sponsor the Beaver Scout Creative Activity Badge, which will be completed with the helping hands of Scout Volunteers. The badge will see Beaver Scouts embrace creativity and imagination by trying a new craft, constructing something, creating something with their imagination and hosting a creative performance.
Alongside the Beaver Scouts Creative Activity Badge Hobbycraft will also be offering Scout members and volunteers with a ‘Ready-to-craft’ workshop box, which will launch in May. This craft packed box will allow members and volunteers to run a host of creative sessions with their groups’, ensuring creativity is accessible to all. This box, developed with The Scouts, will be available to purchase exclusively from Hobbycraft, at a discounted price for Scout members and volunteers. Scout members and volunteers will also be able to access exclusive Hobbycraft discount codes and offers.
Commenting on the partnership, Joel Pickering, head of brand and marketing at Hobbycraft, comments: “We are hugely excited to announce this partnership with The Scout Association. We believe in the power of craft at Hobbycraft, and we’re incredibly proud to be working with The Scouts to inspire and teach the next generation of crafts, and ensure creative pursuits are embraced by all”.
Sally Milner, partnerships account manager at Scouts, said: “We’re thrilled to announce that Scouts are partnering with Hobbycraft on the Beaver Scouts Creative Activity Badge. The release of Workshop Boxes across Hobbycraft stores will mean that Scout volunteers have a grab and go opportunity, with everything they will need to run activities for the badge and teach young people skills for life”.
