British burger brand, Honest Burgers is set to open a brand-new site in Wimbledon on Monday 27th October. This site is the first of 12 new openings, a milestone that will take Honest’s restaurant portfolio to 51 locations across the UK, including three brand-new regions and further sites in London and Bristol.
Tom Barton, co-founder of Honest Burgers, added: “When we started Honest back in Brixton, we wanted to do one thing really well: serve simple, quality British burgers and chips that people would love. We’re proud to be opening another restaurant in south London, not too far from where we began and we’re excited to welcome the Wimbledon community through the doors.”
Located on 88 The Broadway in the heart of Wimbledon, the new Honest Burgers restaurant is its classic British racing green, with hand-written chalkboards and exposed brickwork, seating up to 40 covers. Honest will be celebrating their opening with a series of community activity, giving locals a taster of what Honest has to offer.
Honest Burgers prides itself on quality at every stage. The brand has its own butchery, making their burgers from scratch with chopped British beef (not minced) so they eat like a steak and retain more flavour. Every burger is served with Honest’s signature homemade rosemary-salted chips made with fresh West Sussex potatoes.
Menu highlights include the ‘OG’ Honest burger, first launched on the menu in Brixton in 2011 served with cheddar cheese, smoked bacon and Honest’s homemade 6-hour red onion relish. Alongside the range of classic beef burgers, customers will be able to enjoy smashed burgers, fried chicken, a homemade vegetarian fritter and Beyond meat burgers (vegan). Sides range from homemade onion rings, homemade bacon gravy and halloumi fries. In line with Honest Burgers’ commitment to supporting local communities, the Wimbledon site will feature a selection of beers from a local brewery and will soon launch its own Wimbledon local burger, which is currently in development with the team.
This expansion marks a new chapter in Honest Burgers’ accelerated growth phase with new openings also confirmed in Norwich, Leamington Spa, and additional sites in London and Bristol. The growth follows the
launch of the first Honest Smash + Grab site in Liverpool Street in late 2024 and the successful introduction of Honest Insiders in June 2025, the brand’s first digital rewards app with exclusive rewards for customers, which has been downloaded over 70,000 times since its launch.
